Storms, high winds, tornadoes. Good grief Dorothy, this isn't Kansas. So sad to see the damage in New Boston but fortunately no one was hurt. One of my brothers, who lives in Willis, rode his Harley here to visit Granny. While he was here that storm blew in so we moved his bike into my garage. When the rain quit and there looked like there was a window of opportunity, he decided to head home. I offered him my truck but he decided to risk it. He just made it home when another round of storms came in.

Opa that is awful. I haven't had the TV on yet. You brother must be really close. Willis is just up the road from here.

We missed most of the storms. Just on the edge. Ash Township was called out to a funnel cloud trying to touch down. That is Carleton, the Fire Dept was telling central dispatch to let the down river communities know.

Prayers for the people affected by the tornadoes - I was driving in the storm trying to get home from my moms house. Dumb. Should have waited it out.
They said there was a funnel cloud at Eureka and Telegraph- a mile from me. And our flooding made the evening news.
I cant believe all this tornado weather this past week and a half. I dont remember it ever being like this.

My mom and kids will be home on Wednesday, and then i will only have my house and pets to worry about- and I think my nerves will be much better. This driving over there to take care of her old dog and coming back here to care for all of mine has me stressed.

Morning all. Wow, I guess we have been lucky, storms, but no tornado's this way. I haven't had the news on, so missed that. So sad. I hope this is the end of our stormy weather for a while. My yard hasn't been dry in I don't know how long!

I'm here in northern Saint Clair County. Just turned the news on after reading on here. We had no idea it was so bad yesterday. The kids kept going out and playing between storms. Even the birds seemed to enjoy themselves.

I've been hanging in here. For the 4th time since Christmas I have bronchitis AGAIN. It's been hanging on for almost 2 weeks now.

I'm so ready to be healthy again. All I've wanted to do is curl up in bed and sleep.

Vicki, Ducks are the worst to catch. My KC are sneaky little things. I would not have wanted to chhase them around yesterday.

Yeah, what gives? The weather does seem to be a bit crazy this year. 10 total tornados in MI so far I think. And have you noticed we go from Severe thunderstorm warnings...straight into tornado warnings? ... what ever happend to getting a "tornado watch" ahead of time? They must really be quick and fairly short lived, which I suppose is a good thing. Glad to hear no one has been affected by the storms here.

Afternoon Everyone!

Does anyone have experience moving a broody and eggs? We found one of our hens under the coop w/a bunch of eggs that she's sitting on! Opa, this explains one of the reasons (but only one) our egg collection has been down! I suspect that at least some of the eggs are fertile because this hen is one of our rooster's favorite gal pals! But we have no idea how long she's been there sitting on the eggs and we're headed out of town on the 7th of july...ideally, we'd like to move her and the eggs before we leave and be sure everyone will be safe and sound...any suggestions or experience? thanks!
