I am looking for a very young rooster 14 weeks. The requirments of the rooster if anyone has one is not a cochin or an americana. I would like to find another buff orpington or any orpington. It must be close to this age. Please Pm me is if there is anyone out there that has this type of rooster or knows of anyone.

Thank you

Came home today to find a traffic jam in front of my home.. huge tree limbs from my tree blocking part of the road along with part of my mailbox, mail on the other side of the street.

I got out of the car and started to clear things away. Do you think anyone cared.. just flew by me... even a macomb county fire truck blew by my almost knocked me down... bunch of jerks.

I called my H on the phone told him what happened and he will go into the woods to see if there was any more mail carried away... I don't think so...

there was someone at chickenstock who had orpingtons....Rachel bought 3 pullets from her and she had cockerals at home, buff, and several colors at chickenstock.

Thank you. It was just large branches, two are still in the ditch.. I could not budge it and neither could my husband... he will get the chain saw from work and take care of it. I am just worried that some important mail... flew away... a magazine and two other letters were in the woods across the street.

If I would of seen a woman in the road trying to clean up some storm debris, I would of stopped and asked her if she needed help... shoot they just kept flying by around 45 mph or more.

the kids are all tucked in to sleep in the front yard, in a teepee. thanks to our neighbor, he built it for a party and then gave it to the kids. It is huge, probably 15 people could sleep in it.

I am waiting to see if anyone walks up soon

Chickens aren't too picky about lettuce. I felt bad that we lost control of our "gourmet lettuce" patch, as it started to get old and bitter. But now every day I pull up some plants and throw them over the fence, and the chickens love it! Should be cleared out in no time for a fall planting.

It sure is a beautiful morning. I just came in from letting the birds out and I could help but stop and admire the garden. I think it's been 25 years since I had a garden that has done as well. A few of the roma tomatoes have ripened and while they are enjoyable I am looking forward to the other varieties. Nothing says summer quite like a slice of tomato from the garden.

Burgendy Okra? hmmmm....loves okra!

What a garden! You're going to be busy. My husband canned a bunch of salsa last year, and we're hoping to do it again. What do you do with the eggplant? We have a bunch growing now, but have only used it fresh. How do you preserve it?
Thanks,
bethanyrae
