They look like they are having a great time Diana! I am glad everyone is getting along, that is awesome! As you were leaving my daughter said, "bye Ella, thats my friend!" Too cute!

Forgot to add, after you left, I met Bethany Rae, she picked up a couple of Wellie hens, super nice! I just love our Michigan list!

Good morning. I got my morning workout in today again, with a very grouchy 10 year old. Thank goodness we get to sleep in some tomorrow. Than it is house cleaning and off to football practice. It looks like we might be headed to Imlay City tomorrow for the Outdoor Weekend by Woods and Water News. Should be fun.

Olive Hill I already have my fall scented candle burning. I am ready for the apple orchard, and campfires, and bow season. Can't wait!!

Awww, Vicki, that is so cute. They took to each other like they were old friends.

I'm sorry I missed BethanyRae, I agree we've got a great list of folks here.

Briana - If you've got your fall candles burning I think I'll take that as official permission to get mine burning, too!

Have a great weekend. We are sooo busy! Hubby is racing at Springport all weekend. Emily has an archery tournament sat and sun at MSU. Rachel has to take some of her chickens to a petting farm display on Saturday. Sunday Rachel and Gretchen are suppose to go to a birthday party, put I will be at MSU, so have to see if my folks will take them...run kids here and there, too bad I don't get paid by the mile!

Works on poultry for worms, lice and mite control but also for fleas, lice, mites and worms in dogs and cats.

I've visited southern Indiana a few times this summer to find after 20 plus years, my dogs got fleas. I put some DE on them and fed it to them as well along with my rescue kitten and the fleas are all gone in just a week.

I did a bunch of research on it and Im now using it in my horse sweet feed for worming and fly control.

Lots of zoo are using it and have had wonderful results.

Well, today we went up the street to pick up a male call duck because I'm pretty much positive the 3 I have are female. I put an ad in craigslist and someone answered it. Turned out to be the lady I got the first 3 from!!

She had more males hatch this spring than females so I picked up a pastel male. We were there for quite a while and she showed us around. She has a HUGE set up with all sorts of birds and goats so it was cool for me! As we were getting ready to leave she asked me if I wanted 3 silkies because I had told her how much I loved mine, so she gave me 3 young ones! Those babies are SO sweet! Shannon is very nice too. She had some turkeys I wanted but right now we don't have the set up for one, only for chickens. If she would have had a few layers I would have picked those up too!

He jumped in the pond the minute he was put in the duck run!

Opie had to check him out for a few minutes, then everything was just fine!

So I went to Yutzy's Auction today. Upfront by the road they have spots people can rent, like a flea market area. Some had this for sale! Thought I would tempt some of you!!

I was looking forward to more colored eggs, I'm still debating on if I should keep him or not, he going to be gorgeous. On a good note: I have a dozen babies developing in my incubator!!

I have 8 22-week old Black Australorp Pullets who are just starting to lay. I'm about 45 minutes north of Lansing, but can arrange to meet in West Lansing/Grand Ledge. $8 each.

Morning:
I have one hen who has had "mashy" stools for well over a week now - She's acting just fine, but I've separated her from the flock. I'm going to give her yogurt, some baby vitamins and see if that makes any difference. I have never wormed our girls and am considering doing that.....but see in using Wazine that you have to discard eggs for 14 days....are there other options? Suggestions on both counts appreciated.
