Cricket gave us 4 of hers because she didn't want them and they were the first chickens we had when we started this chicken thing in May or whatever. Then we went to go pick up a new duck the other day and that lady gave us 3 more silkie x isa brown pullets. They are comical! I have a feeling I need to watch my serama too because one of my silkies "got" roos "got" the serama female.

Aric is almost done building the hyatt for rabbits and hopefully we will be picking some up from vicki2x2 tomorrow!!

Just like all our chickens and ducks, rabbits WILL be the most spoiled around! When Aric builds stuff he doesn't build it small! I'll get pics soon!

Want to say thanks to CricketYang for the duck eggs. My friend was very appreciative! She needed to make some bread for her son, as he is also allergic to wheat along with chicken eggs, so she makes it herself with a wheat substitute and duck eggs. Sorry we were late, my other friend was late picking me up. Will probably need a dozen every other week or so if that works for you?

At least now she has use for all those eggs she gets!

Do you want me to call you before we head out to your place? I don't have your number if you do. The hyatt for rabbits is done. Pretty incredible. If I was small enough I wouldn't mind living there myself!! lol

Hello,
I am from Blissfield, MI but live in Oklahoma now. My husband was in the Navy and his last duty station was at Tinker Air Force Base (long Story). He recently retired and we will be staying here for a while. Does anyone on the Michigan thread have Mille Fleur, Lavender or Mottled Cochins?
Does anyone want to get any birds from Oklahoma or vice versa? When I travel back and forth to visit my parents I can help transport.
MJ, a long way from home

Well I put 48 chicken eggs in my bator and 24 hatched. I couldnt believe I got so many. I love them and cant wait to start posting pics, but i dont know half of their breeds so Im gunna need you guys to guess for me

If those eggs work out for her and her son I'm fine with a dozen every other week (or so). As long as my ducks can keep up with the demand. Just let me know if she needs them again, we also have extra duck eggs around here as the hubby and kids like to eat the colored eggs. I didn't mind the wait, I had to get a ton of stuff from the store anyway. I want to go back and stock up on that cracked corn!! $5.99 sounds GOOD to me!

There's a house down the road from me and it looks like they have two pekins also. Would it be weird of me to pull up to their house and ask them about their eggs? Maybe for incubating and getting some fresh blood into my line?? I'm not sure what sexes they are, just that they look just like my feathered kids.

I don't think it is weird, sounds like something I would do!

Are your ladies laying yet? If so, how old were they when they started? The ones I have were born around April-ish. I'm honestly not even going to hold my breath. I'll be satisfied if I get an egg by Christmas from them. lol

The ones i get from you both lay. I am sure I have two males and two females now. One of the males hit up the the serama female too so that should be interesting. If her eggs end up being fertilized may need to use some space in your incubator lol. I need to get these whities to you too!

Until you hear them crow, dont assume they are roosters. I have LF here , Cochins that I swore at about 10 wks they were roosters, they are not and I so glad I didnt sell/place them. Some hens have larger waddles then others. Please wait until you know for sure.
