Alright you Michiganders!! It took me my whole lunch break to try to catch up what's been happening. You sure are a chatty group. I'd like to jump on board too. Not much of a chatter, but it's great to talk to others feeling the wrath of the weather too.

So here is a picture from the warm days of our Isa Brown (from Townline) and they were molting lightly.

On an off topic : Anyone looking for a FREE turkey hen? Posting this for a friend who lost his others and she is lonesome.

Nice pictures of all the Isa B's everyone! They are better looking than I thought and I thought that they weren't really nice chickens, guess I have been told wrong. I have added them to my want list. I need some girls who will really put out the eggs. It seems everyone wants to buy eggs from me and I only get enough for my family right now. I am sure it will pick up in the spring when the young ones start laying. Ok, sounds like all the babies are aslept, time to go check for eggs quick!

I was going to ask what the difference was between a Cinnamon Queen and an ISA and was afraid it was going to be a dumb question. Thanks for bringing it up and educating me. I have a lot to learn!

Looks like I may not be the only one wanting to try a few this year... They are nice looking birds in the pictures you all posted.

KrisRose, sorry don't have any answers if it would be hard to introduce her or not. I've never had turkeys so don't know how they would be. I know she's nice and follows him around the yard. Here is a picture of her. She's on the right.

Even the vet would find himself chatting away with her. She got a lump over her eye. Thank you everyone is still in shock. I have a picture of her in the livingroom everytime I look at it my eyes fill with tears! Her buddies are looking for her honking like mad trying to get her to tell them where she is

Miss_Jayne baked 5 dozen chocolate chip cookies today, as well as more of those deelish bagels! And that's just her first full day without internet...can you imagine what she'll do this weekend!

And Steve, she wanted me to tell you that she made another bagel especially for you, with cream cheese. It's in the mail.

She has such a sense of humor. I was thinking of her today when I started making bread, so I started a thread in her absence. The bread was deelish, warm and buttered.

Cit, sorry to hear of the loss, like I always say, a life is a life no matter what it may be.

I'm sure we've all been there a time or two. I decided that I "need" to build another coop by spring. Every time I get on this site I keep finding another pretty bird. I've got a bunch of plastic panels to use so it should be an interesting project.
