Good morning peeps. It's Saturday!

Boy does my wife have a lot planned for me/us today.

One of the things is grocery shopping....something neither of us enjoy.

She is planning on a dinner tonight so our son, daughter in law and grandson will be coming over. That's always a plus.

Gotta go to the butcher shop up in Saranac to buy some stuff we don't have. She wants me to raise a beef for butcher, but after all the cattle we raised in the past I just don't want the extra work. I'd rather grow more hogs and buy beef from the hog proceeds.

OMG...they're sooooo cute! Little Mary kinda even looks like an australorp baby, doesn't it? Sure hope it's a little girly!

Sorry I didn't reply to your email last night...DS and I were exhausted and both went to bed early. Plus, I had to load my camera pics on my junky desktop computer, so that'll take me forever to send them...but I will.

Aren't weekends great!?!?!?!!!
I LOVE grocery shopping--weird I know.

I am going to the discount home improvment store to shop for new kitchen cabinets....nothing as nice as what Steve builds, but something functional.

Everyone slept great here after playing in the snow last night. A friend of Jon's came over with moonshine and homemade wine. I'm not a drinker, but sampled them and they were good. So I slept in this morning....my one day to do so.

Chores are done. The call duck wants her pool today, but I think its a little on the chilly side. Upper 20's and she gets to swim

This board moves too fast for me...lol. I'm at work this morning wondering why spring can't come now and make things seem so much "happier"

Ahhhh... We have builders galore on this page. I need some suggestions. How can a couple of "un-handy" women (DD & I) construct a separation pen in our coop? Our coop is a 12x14 cinderblock building with a cement floor. Not much to nail a board to. We would like a big pen for our Silkies - like 5x6. A door we can step in through is a must. I thought about getting a chain-link dog kennel. Can't find a used one & new, they are at least $200.
Sooo... any ideas. We could probably swing some rudementary hammering and staple gunning. Or gluing together some PVC pipe.
Any help is much appreciated!
