I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he comes out of it!
Like I said it'll go one way or the other pretty fast once he starts tilting like that.
Hope the Baytril does the thing, I asked around a bit and I've heard from a couple people who had good luck with it.
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!!!
So far he's still eating and drinking up a storm, but his head is tilting more and he's sleeping more. Hopefully it's a brief reaction to the med
Well today is yet another sad day. Last week I went out to the barn to find a dead pullet under one of the laying boxes. It was one of the particularly cold nights and even though we have heat lamps out there, I wasn't really surprised. Then today when setting out the afternoon feed we found one of my favorite silkies underneath another laying box. This time though it had damage to it's head. This is one that our big rooster has had a habit of "tapping" almost every day. She was fine all morning. Not sure if the first one was killed by the same rooster or it was because it was cold. So the rooster is now in solitary confinement with the ducks. He's always been scared of them so maybe it'll do some good. If this keeps up he'll have to go and he's Aric's favorite!
Speaking of Aric, that lovely man made me some buckeyes today woohoo!!! He felt really bad that my favorite silkie was killed and he can't buy me a xmas gift so he made them instead. Fine with me!!
