I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he comes out of it!

Like I said it'll go one way or the other pretty fast once he starts tilting like that.

Hope the Baytril does the thing, I asked around a bit and I've heard from a couple people who had good luck with it.

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!!!

So far he's still eating and drinking up a storm, but his head is tilting more and he's sleeping more. Hopefully it's a brief reaction to the med

Well today is yet another sad day. Last week I went out to the barn to find a dead pullet under one of the laying boxes. It was one of the particularly cold nights and even though we have heat lamps out there, I wasn't really surprised. Then today when setting out the afternoon feed we found one of my favorite silkies underneath another laying box. This time though it had damage to it's head. This is one that our big rooster has had a habit of "tapping" almost every day. She was fine all morning. Not sure if the first one was killed by the same rooster or it was because it was cold. So the rooster is now in solitary confinement with the ducks. He's always been scared of them so maybe it'll do some good. If this keeps up he'll have to go and he's Aric's favorite!

Speaking of Aric, that lovely man made me some buckeyes today woohoo!!! He felt really bad that my favorite silkie was killed and he can't buy me a xmas gift so he made them instead. Fine with me!!

Merry Christmas, Michiganders! I hope you're all having a wonderful day.

Me? My family room looks like world war III went through and the house smells of potato pancakes and ham. It must be a good Christmas day.

I make my manacotti with a meat/cheese filling. I use hamburger or turkey. My kids favorite meal. You'll have to come over and have some!

That's the way Mom made hers too.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Ours was wonderful, we are truly blessed.
I have just finished putting away all the Christmas decorations and almost have my house looking normal again.

Fed the ducks and chickens- wow! My ducks are looking pretty rough- they are so dirty and dingy. My hose is frozen, so they are stuck with just the buckets that I have hauled out there daily. Can't wait to see how bad they look when it is grey and dingy and muddy out there in the spring!
I need a little snow now- my backyard looks like a barnyard. Who knew they could all poop so much?

This may sound a little warped. Ok, a LOT warped.

My best xmas gift yesterday???

Gizmo's cage was full of pee and poop!!! Yep!!

Ever since he got sick he's always had what I considered ok amounts. Yesterday I woke up and his cage was FULL!!!

The first couple days on the med he had what appeared to be an infected tear duct. But once it was cleaned up with warm water he was ok. That's gone now. His energy level seems a bit higher as well!!!!
