no coffee for me today, thank you...i'm not a coffee person. but, if anyone has an herbal tea, i'm all over it.

so, the plan is to build that incubator or see if i can get a dickey's incubator very fast.

thanks for the encouragement everyone and for the offers to borrow incubators.

gotta fly, customer coming over at 9:30 to buy chickens...

double cream, no sugar for me, please.

I have decided I need a very large bell. Perhaps a fire alarm- fire station style, installed in my hallway.
I hate trying to get my kids up for school. it takes so many trips from my computer/coffee chair to their room...over and over again. Except my middle child. She gets up the first time I ask her to.

My DS-Stringbean is still home sick with croup, what nasty stuff. It get a little better and then bam-his temp is back up to 103. I hope this is the last day of it he has now missed 4 days of school! My kids always have perfect attendance. Only one daycare baby, and he has an ear infection!

No coffee for me but I would take some of my apple cider warmed up or hot cocoa!

Off to put the 5 loads of laundry away that I just got done folding. Kids should be getting up....I may have to go and threaten them...

Morning all! No coffee for me, yucky stuff! Bring on the Hot Chocolate!! I have a sick one home too! She has been home sick everyday but tuesday, the day I met Steve, and that day she came home from school and threw up on me! Oh yeah! Thankfully that passed quickly, now it is just a low grade fever and sore throat.

Mom 2em All- I had one child that was really hard to get up, she would just roll over and go back to sleep. I finally let her learn the hard way a couple of times. It was almost as hard on me as it was her, but it seem to work. I woke her a few times, or told her to set her alarm. If she did not get up, I did not go back in and keep waking her. When she came out later and was upset because she missed a fun activity she was going on, etc I pointed out that she chose to not get up, not me, and I had warned her, I was not her keeper, just her mother.

edited to say, she was a teen by then, so old enough to know better. Now at 17, she is better, though it is still tough for her to get up, but she will be gone off to college soon and she needed to learn to do it herself!

Any coffee left? If I could get some with cream and sugar, that'd be great.

Prayers going out for the sick kids out there today. Hope they get better before the weekend is here.

Well, time for the usual morning routine. Take care everyone, and have a good day.

I can't see it either. Sorry to hear the kids are sick.

Just got in from morning chores, brrrr.

speaking of getting up in the morning, my youngest son 22 can sleep the day away if he doesn't need to go to work.....otherwise he is up at 4 am and out the door. My dad would tell me once to get up, usually about 5:30 am, and you better not have to be told twice.....and you better be right behind him out the door for a full days work in the fields.

Yep, another cup of coffee, the last two were good.
