I was so glad that my husband had found a hobby ... until RC aircraft literally took over our house. Keep in mind that our house is only 600 sq. feet 20 x 30. We had 3 aircraft in the living room, one plane had almost a 4ft wingpspan, another 3 aircraft on on our enclosed porch along with 6 gallons of fuel. DH got rid of two of the chairs to put his workbench against one wall. The small table by the phone got turned into a second computer desk where he watched DVDs of David Platt and other RC stuff (where he died) as well as finding propellers, soldering irons and tiny screws in odd places like the silverware drawer. He was turning the small pole barn into a workshop and once he got it heated and ventilated, everything would move out there.
Well, that obviously didn't happen. Luckily I've already sold a lot of his tools and a friend of his is going to come over one day to help me inventory the aircraft and I'm going to see if Roger's Hobby in Saginaw can sell some of this on consignment.
I've sold his Mongol style composite bow and that will get shipped out Wed or Thurs whenever I receive the money order.
I still have more things for sale (tools, hardware, lumber, other odds & ends). If anyone is interested, shoot me a PM.
I was able to buy a couch today and rearrange some furniture and the living room actually looks like a proper living room now.
Kind of sad and ironic to know that his death was the catalyst that got this going ...
