This is an advertisement for anyone interested in ducks. I have a friend who has a breeding pair of Austrailian Ducks that she would like to sell. She asked me to post on here but did not give me a price I think she will negotiate. They took Best of Breed and Reserve Breed on Saturday at the Spring Fowl Fest so they are nice ducks. They just need to move on. They are flyers so you will have to net them, clip them, or whatever you do to keep flying ducks around. If you are interested please PM and I will send you her phone number and email. (we are on the west central side of MI about 20 miles north of Muskegon.)

I saw it online last night and couldn't believe it either. I had to go downstairs and watched the news for two hours before it finally sank in. It's such a relief that he's finally gone. We're on a very good streak and should just keep going and go after Mr. Guddafi and actually get HIM this time!

Sidenote: I woke up to three new babies in the bator today! Two of my own and one BCM!!! also six more pipping away! I love incubating

. There was no blood or gooey stuff and their shells were fairly clean. This has been the perfect hatch so far, knock on wood. Lol

Does anyone know where I can find a bearded Mille Fluer D'Uccle Bantam and a standard Blue Cochin in or near Lapeer County? I have posted in the wanted section with no luck. I tried getting both of them through hatcheries, but when the day came to ship them, they didn't hatch.

Saw a raccoon trotting through the far end of the backyard before he peeked into the former pool (now a hole full of rubble).

Also had the multivitamin I had just taken disagree with me that moment leaving me over the toilet while the coon got away.

Anyone know of a multivitamin that *won't* make you sick if you take it without food?
I checked the yard, the chickens didn't seem to notice anything threatening was in the area. A trap is set out now so hopefully I can help rid the area of one bold critter. I didn't think raccoons would be out in broad daylight, but twice now I've seen them ambling about in the middle of a sunny day.

In lighter news, I spent several hours with an egg in my shirt pocket after forgetting I had pulled it from the coop. Almost walked into the store with it.

This morning I dispatched my 6th coon in a month. The strangest thing is that each one has been a boar. I wish that at least a few had been sows. That way you are reducing the population by one plus all she might have born. I'm using four Duke dog proof coon traps and have been very impressed with how effective they have been. Each trap is attached to a auger type ground anchor most commonly used for dog chains. The first two I attached the trap to the auger with a 4' length of 3/16 wire cable but decided that 18" is a much better length. This morning's capture was in a trap with the longer cable which unfortunately allow him to reach the garden hose that was lying on the ground. He evidently took his frustration out on the hose. When I looked out this morning the first thing I noticed was water spraying into the air from a dozen punctures. One $45 hose will now have to be 8' shorter.

Opa I told my husband about those traps of yours...he said I've spent too much on all the chicken stuff and we will have to make do with our live trap and the gun.
