Hello All, I remember seeing a post that someone was looking for blue, splash silkies. In the Grand Rapids CL Farm and Garden section there is a posting from someone in Grant. They are reducing their flock and selling for $15. Hope this helps.

That was quite a storm that rolled through here. I guess some areas had some wind damage and I fear those experiencing high water are facing more. The weather forecaster certainly monopolize the airwaves for an hour or so. I had just taken the spareribs out of the smoker so dinner wasn't delayed.

Life sure is good.

I guess the storms are coming my way. I keep checking the skies and it certainly looks wierd. However, the 10 week old chicks are still free grazing. They usually run for the coop if the weather gets wonky. Also the 5 week olds are still playing in the grass.
If my chicks are any harbringers of storms, then I think we might miss the worst of it.

Keeping my fingers crosed.

what kind of chicken is this? It is the friendliest chicken ever. She will perch on my daughters shoulder like a parrot, and follows her around. She loves to be picked up and have you pet her and play around with her. My 4yr old (in the pic) named her Wanda. lol

Thank you for posting.

opa- storms missed me. We kept waiting...it got dark and then it rolled on by. I hope nobody has any damages from that one though. The news said it was bad.
