Hey Opa,

We use the cheap square fans you can get at Tractor Supply or Meijers for like $10-15 bucks. We have 3 of them and other than #4 that got kicked by my horse all work fine with the dust. Maybe worth a try? They are not real big but I use one per coop and they do OK. My fans have lasted 5 years now. Jenn

Opa you may be the old rooster but you are way more tech savvy than me - uploading GIFs? Sounds like something you get on your birthday

Sometimes the hassles of uploading pictures and smileys get to be a pain. You make sure the JPEG, PNG, or GIF files are of the correct size and then do everything according to the instructions and they only upload sometimes. It's enough to make a feller's PVDs wad up.

I'll trade you upload hassles for my "upload".

Between 1:00 this afternoon and now, my pond turned over in a very bad way. Water stagnated when the recirc pump failed. Lost the filtration and the pond went anerobic.
There is such a lowly aroma of decay in the air. Classic case of methanogenisis for you limnology/wetland fans. But not so good for the fish and ducks.

I fixed the pump and it is now pumping stinky water out of the pond and out to the street. At least some of those 1400 gallons are watering the parched willows trees first.

Oiy, next water bill is going to be bad!

Stayed in most of the day. Grandkids were over and in the pool. Me... I stayed inside and waved to them every now and then. So, Sam, I'm not glowing too much today. Looking forward to the cooler temps predicted for tomorrow and into next week. Maybe I can get out and finally weed my flower garden.

REALLY hot here all day, not humid tho. I soaked a big towel in cold water and draped it across the upwind side of the tractor so the breeze coming thru it would cool the 4 week olds a bit.

I spent 4 houys wasting the morning setting in court, thot they were gonna hear hubbys Comp case today but they postponed AGAIN. We should be used to this after 4 years of it.

hmmm I think one of my older chickens is getting bullied. She is missing feathers around her neck and it looks red.

I am going to have to do some investigating to see who it is and put her in "time-out". :: sigh ::
