Here's the black/ blue runner ducklings (from show quality parents) I'm bringing to sell at Chickenstock:

I'm hoping someone can sex them since I want to keep 1 drake and 1-2 ducks.

Also if i can't give away the Marans roosters, I'll try to sell them as pairs with BCM pullets. The pullets have feathered legs. Must provide good home for the roo, not just buy the pullet.

Please PM me if you're interested. I'm worried I'll pack them up, drive all the way to Chickenstock and them have to bring them all home again.

Thanks!

wow, love the runners, I wish I could have more ducks, I LOVE them, but constantly changing the water is a pain. I dumped the 45" wading pool today cuz it was green and t hey ran right over and started drinking it off the ground. I was putting fresh in the pool but did they want THAT....Nooooooooo, they wanted the mucky smelly stuff.

oh those runners are darling darling...earlier I would have said YES I want...but I cant. I love Henry much much more than my ducks, and he has decided that if the ducks are here, he must learn how to mate....so, I am going to keep chickens and Henry and new Henrietta...

Nevertheless....those runners are darling darling...I will wear blinders past your set-up....

I did it!
I moved the ducklings outside.
I have been putting them into a pen during the day, and then bringing them in in the evening.
I just couldnt bring them back in this evening.
I grabbed the staple gun, a roll of hardware cloth, and boxed them in under my shelter/roof thing I built last year. Plugged in the heat lamp and gave them food and water...and ignored the fact that they were huddled terrified in the corner.

they will be fine. They are sheltered by two walls of my house, one side of the coop...and a roof...theres a rabbit hutch out there thats EMPTYYYY that they can get under. They have a heat lamp...

Really they are about three weeks old. They will be fine.....I will check on them throughout the night...

I may soon have too many purebred araucanas than I have room for! I just hatched fourteen, seven of which were tufted, which made me go

But I kinda thought I would have a bad hatch since I had to discard quite a few eggs during incubation, so I bought more hatching eggs that would arrive so they'd be set right after this hatch! So now I have 24 more purebred araucana eggs in the incubator due to hatch

on July 9th!

So, is anyone in Michigan interested in araucanas?

Sounds like some nice way of saying older than dirt

Used to, now "vintage" is 20 years or older. 1991 is vintage. Which makes me vintage.

Thanks Opa! You'll be getting one ISA and one EE hen.

Mom and ChicwannaB - Thanks for the offer of pens for my roos. With Opa's tethers and an extra pen if I need it, they should be comfortable and Chickenstock won't get busted for having a cock fighting attraction! I have the feeling that I may be taking all my roos home with me, though. Sounds like there will be lots of them available for sale/adoption.
