Dont you have barred rocks? I am looking for two chicks to make a trade for these silkies that I want. Well, I am buying the silkies, but she is looking for br- and if I can give her two chicks, I dont have to buy the silkies. Of course, it probably would be easier for me to just buy the silkies but I am trying to find her what she wants, since she is kind enough to sell her hens to me.

Oh boy, I'm in deep now if there's going to be Jersey Giants there. No way in hell am I going if I don't have money. No way.

I have much older br hens. Like ancient. I have a few younger ones, but not chicks. I do have chicks but most are bantam cochin or frizzles. I do have some full size chicks due to hatch Friday but I don't think the br are laying anymore.

RAZ- Often close friendships have a "balance", either you're even or different in un compeating areas. When women get married or divorced, or have kids even, there's a tendency to start a "new life" and be upset when anything from the "old life" interfeers.

I'm sorry for the loss of your flock, andthe loss of a friend. wanna be chickenless together for a bit? Are quail also against the rules where you live? (town i'm in has rules for hens, but not for quail, so for now i have quail.

Thank you! I sent Farmerboy a message. I hope he has some. Arent they sexable by a spot on their heads? Which one has the clearer spot? lol, I can never remember and would most likely pick out roosters.

Im so glad you are coming to Chickenstock! I hope you can find a home for your roosters...careful, they may want to end up in Opa's smoker....

Im so frustrated!!!

this pond is driving me NUTS! I cleaned the whole thing out- it was such a nightmare, that I refuse to let the ducks or goose back into it. I bought a boatload of beneficial bacteria, a bottle of this and a bottle of that- doing all the right stuff...water is still clear, some debris on the bottom- not much, I think it would be algae if I hadnt added algae control...I rinsed out my filter and bit the bullet- purchased a big pump- its supposed to circulate 1664 gallons per hour. Cool...when it is out of the filter it shoots water to the moon- for a day. In the filter, for a day, then it goes to a trickle. There is NO way the filter is full or clogged or anything- I just dragged it out yesterday, unrolled it and rinsed it all out!!!!! Now, my spray is just a little tiny trickle.

Im not in the mood to trudge back inside the pond.

Im ready to fill it all in.

The pond was supposed to be relaxing- not this stressful crap.
