I'm not real sure about salamander eggs. Seems like it would take a lot of them to make an omlet and they might taste a bit strange.

it's almost 4am, I don't sleep much anymore. just little 4 hour gaps between pain pills. It's like having a baby, wake up every 3 hours, and nap when you can.

Mr saddi and i have decided that 12 years of marriage may be enough. So i'm not too inclined to go to sleep anyways.

Chickmate...congrats on getting the de-lousing/miting done. It is a job for sure.

Chickwannab...your currents are great looking!

Saddina I am sorry to hear your news...if I understand it correctly?

The good news for me is that I put on the light inside the chick coop...about 8pm. At 9:50pm the door closed automatically and THEY WERE ALL IN!! Yipee. I had also placed buckets in the corners of the run where they usually squished in at dusk so they couldn't get to them. I opened and looked inside and HALF were on the perch! Making progress with the little knuckleheads!

Happy to report I hatched 12/16 araucanas! I float tested the other four, turns out they were dead in their shell, which is to be expected with tufting genes. Only one of the twelve spunky little chicks is sportin' tufts though, but one is better than none!

Progress is wonderful.

It's a logical decision, I really have changed since the accident, the combo of constant pain and exhaustion makes me hard to live with, since it's degenerative, i'll just slowly keep falling apart as my legs atrophy. He stuck it out for 2 years, and if it was reversed I don't think i could've done it for him. He offered legal seperation instead, but with being disabled, divorce makes better sence both benifit wise (i'll qualify for a home nurse), and morally. We figure it's better for the children to live with one parent than with 2 miserable ones, that'll be the most complicated part, we homeschooled both of them since birth (our oldest was deaf, now has the implant, and the youngest is rather advanced), so we'll either need to hire a private tutor, or buy a duplex so we can still co-parent.

There is a farm here in Lapeer that sells it at a decent price. If you think you might be in the area send me a pm and I can get their # or Web addy for you.

Kathy

I just got back from Lapeer. I'm taking a class at the EMU campus on Fish Lake.
Where is this farm? I'd like to get some DE as well.
If any Ann Arbor, Ypsi, or downriver folk would like some, I can pick up extra.
My last week of class is Wednesday to Saturday.

I will let you know. Just have to get back to work on Monday because I can't find their Web address now

I have babies hatching!!! So far we've got 5 naked necks, 1 easter egger and 1 turken that doesn't have a naked neck ??? I don't know if that's normal or if I got a mismarked egg? These little guys are so ugly that they are cute! I'll post pics as soon as I can get my camera out without waking everyone up
