Thanks for the support! I think the interview went quite well! As soon as I let her know my college schedule this semester (adviser meeting on Monday), she wants to know what times my classes are so she knows my availability, and then locate the best candidate from those she is interviewing!

Keyt, try and give them more protien to help with feathering. Krisrose and I love to give them bologna and oiled sunflower seed to help them along.
Sure was doing alot of glowing this morning weeding my flower garden. I would love to have one day in the lower 70's so I can weed my garden and not feel so yucky doing it.

Part of my relaxing post interview was to take some new pictures of my growing araucanas! I only have two, the roos I want to breeding, named thus far. None of the pullets have names yet, still deciding!

This is Ambrose! Tufted, rumpless, with willow legs. He is so mellow and sweet, too!

Oh, forgot a couple more pics. This is of my now 7 week old duckling, one of 3 left over from the friend who wanted some hatched but lost her house.

It hatched this way!

Now

I love it! I thought she would have lost that tuft by now but maybe it's just who she is!

My sick silkie, has been doing wonderfully despite being confined. She's been eating, drinking and scratching, and getting in the carrier at night so I don't have to chase her in. I checked her mouth today and saw no gunk and only a few small red spots where the sores were!

She's gotten so much better so quickly I am kind of surprised. We're going to keep her in quarantine for a while longer, just in case she's still contagious.

BF thinks a peroxide wash helped to get rid of the infection along with the q-tip swabbing. It was only a 3% solution we have as a mouth wash/gargle and we diluted it >0.1mil into 0.7mil water (~0.8mil total) and fed it to her with a syringe. She's not a lap chicken and wouldn't sit still, so cleaning her mouth was a tad difficult, but as long as she gets better I am happy.
