That's the one I work at Zeeb........... I don't meet everyone cause I'm in the back room grooming 90% of the time.
You know I'm friends with RIRJen (with the belgian hares) we could make a bunny show up for you..............

loving this great michigan SUMMER weather. My DD and I made a bonfire to make breakfast today just for kicks and enjoyed a little time setting by the fire the chickens in our laps. It was almost spiritual.

One day I will make one of those little dears mine. Just not now.. I already have 3 dogs, a cat, two bunnies, a hamster, and a beta fish in the house.

I do appreciate the offer though. When the time is right I just may take you up on that. I come through DeWitt fairly regularly still.

That's hardly any pets- read my list. Then add my old list to it of 50-100 rabbits & 20-50 rats (yup- that is correct) I gave up showing & breeding those as we were planning to move and didn't want to HAVE to get a house based off my livestock. But we are getting (finger crossed) a house where I can have a few chickens

Surgeries? What kinda doctor? What hospital? I've joked that Sparrow needs to have a wing in my name I've spent a good portion of my life there lol. My first 10 surgeries were at Mott's or Mayo/St. Mary's. The last 30 have been at a combination of Sparrow and Ingham. I've had a few in other states.

He's a Surgery Tech..... he hands the doctor instruments & something about keeping a sterile field in the OR. (I picture a meadow in a bubble on this) I don't know- he helps during surgeries & has to go in if he's on call for emergancy ones too. It just means he has decent pay and we have to live near the hospital to me.

You think meadows, I think yeah ok, whatever lol.

People always ask me how I'm so relaxed when it comes to surgeries. Well, having 47 will do that. I have SO many funny stories, but the most recent one was when my appendix ruptured (yes, ruptured to the MAX...took 8 mg of morphine...the usual is 2) and the surgery tech was wheeling me to the OR. He asked me if I was nervous and told me there's nothing to be nervous about, the doc is very good. I went from crying to laughing my arse off and said obviously he hadn't seen my record. When I told him I had had (44 at the time) surgeries, he flipped out! I said 20 of those were brain surgeries so the appendectomy was a cakewalk. Well, it was except for the 119 staples in my side LOL

Aww, I miss having rats. I had 5 rats that started out as breeders for feeder pinkies for my 75-100 reptiles (another rescuing issue I had lol), but the rats ended up being really good pets.

Rats are AMAZING pets omg. My former housemate has three girls that were hand raised by me from a litter from a rescue rat (LONG story).

Anyway, his girls are like dogs in rattie bodies. They snuggle, they come when called, they are potty trained. Heck, he can leave their cage open and they stay in his room, go back to the cage to do business, and don't chew what they aren't supposed to. He likes to take 'rat naps' with his girls which involves napping with the ratties, who may or may not stay with the napper

I love them so much, I miss rattie snuggles and scratching their tummies!

That's only the indoor animals.

Currently chickens total somewhere around 200. It's an ever fluctuating number as we raise for meat and eggs. And then there are the turkeys, also for meat. And the geese, for meat and down. There are also both the American Guinea Hogs and the Tamworths -- currently 7 breeders betwixt and the fluctuating number of feeders/sellers that they birth. We're down to just one horse now, but have had as many as five at a time. Can't forget the lone duck who likes big butts and the free-range lamb, who will be in the freezer this fall but is on the roster for now.

Add two kids, a hubby, kids' school and extracurriculars, work, community engagements, keeping up with friends and at least one hobby (adults are still allowed to have those right?) and my plate is full. LOL!

Hey you guys, earlier I posted a question on the what breed is this section asking what breed people that the new roo is. A few said a Barred Rock mix, but the rest said Black Sex Link. Can you go back a couple pages and tell me what you think? Thanks!

OMG Which one of your geese who killed the chicken? Not my sweet Penelope? Her sister Gisele will chase the chickens away from food but thats it.
