I swear the same bunch of fools makes up these "Township Rules". None make any sense.
People have won with MRTF law but it is a court battle if the township doesnt back down. I would try the grandfathered thing. We talked to township and it was just one person in our neighborhood causing the problems.

Laws & ordiance....I know they're established for specific reasons but sometimes the reasons are just plain...should I say silly!!

LOL. That'd be to convenient!

I got to many roosters... Hey, does anyone know a plastic surgeon that does sex changes on chicken?? LOL. Just think of all the hens I could have! I have 8 roosters... 6 of them are silkies... Possibly 9 roosters... I am still not certain on one of the silkies... man...

I went to lowes, and they use these hoop things over their plants. Turns out all they are is thin pvc pipes... Any one use them to make a run with? I just want it for winter. I was thinking I could hook 2 together per hoop so they'd be tall enough to walk thru... Other wise I am just going to get 10ft 2x4s and make an a frame run about 12 feet long, and cover the majority with a white tarp thing.... so the snow won't get to high in it, but will still give some semblance of shelter if they decide to run around outside, open-ended... Has anyone done this? With the pvc that is. I was thinking though that I might close the one end with wire though, to keep the wild turkeys out in the winter...

Google capons / caponizing. It's not as hard (and in other countries not as uncommon) as you might think.

Olive, as soon as I read Nova's post I thought the same thing.... Capon. I remember that we had a number of caponized birds when I was growing up but I can't remember if their loss of testicles reduced their crowing.
