I just went over to pick up my son and grandson, the roads sure are something to be desired already. Best I could do was 40 m.p.h.

Judy is making chicken alfredo and strawberry shortcake.....his favorites.

i'm not cooking a real meal until everyone gets back home tomorrow though. i'm going to make salad with pepperoni and mozzarella today. pizza salad!

Man Strawberry Shortcake sure does sound good!!

Well I just got home from work (Port Huron) and had to drive 35mph all the way home. Not fun! Already fed the horses, and got chicken and dumplins going for dinner. Yum!

Guess what I got today MJ, a heat lamp. Gotta get ready for those little chicks. Now to break the news to hubby that I bringing some home sooner than expected. LOL!

Have fun everyone, and stay warm. It's not a day to play with mother nature.

Steve, Love that snow moving machine!

Just got home from work about an hour ago and picked up my daughter from her work place.. was gonna let her drive but it was really snowing and slippery and she didn't have any glasses with her or contacts, so I said, no go. she's just learning. When we go to Green Bay Thursday I'll let her drive at least half of the way, before we get to the freeway that is.

She got her blue laced red wyandotte's last night and and other daughter said she hear the roo crowing this morning. They were so excited!!! My friend sent for the eggs last year and hatched them out. She said the woman said she sold the parents for $375/for the pair on eggbid. Now, they are BEAUTIFUL birds, but that's simply craziness. How on earth can you justify paying that much for a pair of chickens? I've also seen some silikies go for over $700 on there but it just doesn't make sense to me either.

She also hatched some splash and these were with the splash so we will eat the eggs for a coupld of weeks before gathering them to incubate. the girls already have some buyers for the chicks but I told them not to count their chickens before they hatch. LOL.

We were supposed to get 3-4 inches of white stuff and we already have at least 3". It looks so pretty!!! The snowmobiles are out but the visibility isn't that great at this point. We live 35 miles from the snowmobile capital of the world, at least the US. I wish they wouldn't make those machine to go so fast!!!! A lot of people just don't either look or slow down before crossing the road. H and son have one, but they just go in the woods by our house or out to camp as the road isn't open in the winter. BIL sold his because he said people were nuts on the trails and he saw too many accidents.

I gotta find the other incubator as my quail eggs should be here by Monday or Tuesday.

Talking about decadent desserts......Brownies with caramel and walnuts sound good about now. But I need to take a nap first. 4:30 came just too early this am and I'm just too pooped to do anything but take a nap!

Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!
I want to hatch chicks too!!! I have been looking at incubators, but don't know about the super cheap-o's and don't really want to spend $200. on the hova bator. DH says we have to many chickens already...ha! Silly man! My other thought is that I am sure I will have some broody girls this spring.
You guys just keep telling me about all your hatching and fuzzy butts and I will live through all of you!
