glad you had a great time, sorry I missed you. Maybe next time.

Same here...by the time you went we were already home. So many nice looking chicks & Roos. I loved the huge geese. Might just have to get one of those for next spring!!!

I hope everyone had a grand time at Fowl Fest! Wish I could have come (with two pairs of Araucanas to rehome, I bet someone would have liked them!), it looks like it was a blast!

Was at least productive here! With fall in full swing, got a pair of pear trees to plant. A barlett and a bosc, since they'll cross pollinate each other (with help from my honeybees!).

Framed out part of the garage for the winter coop. It's 8 feet by 11 feet so more than enough room for 5 hens. The way the studs worked out, I can fit 7 nest boxes...so maybe I need more hens?

Broil, my BSL who provides an egg a day was most interested in watching what I was doing. I think she would have helped if she had thumbs.

Yes, I am rambling. Over tired and punchy and not quite ready for bed. Wonder what is on TV?

ummm... RaZ? Either you're really really not a sports fan or you're being super funny...

Tigers? Tigers anyone?

(My guess is super funny, BTW...

York, if I'm super funny, do I have to wear a cape?

But I did take your comment to heart...I just tuned into the Tiger game. I haven't watched baseball since I saw the Tigers win the 84 World Series. And that was only because I was at the game.

I forgot to mention that I do have cable TV in the garage. In fact, where I partitioned, the chickies will have access.

The cape is implied, I believe.

Maybe your watching is the key to them winning. Worth a shot. Feel free to take credit if they win.

Good thing you have cable in the garage. I believe the chickens will be demanding the Food Network 24/7.

M.sue :

Spent the morning at Fowl Fest. My family and I had a great time and I came home with some merchandise, a couple great books but no chickens, ducks or turkeys. Next year for sure though....I will go prepared and have things ready at home for my retun!! Ran into Chick Flick & KrisRose which was a pleasant suprise and what I hoping for.....to put a face with my BYC friends!! I can't wait for the next Chickenstock or fowl event. I always thought I was hooked on chickens but now I really know I am!!

A cape, I can do. But I refuse to wear tights.
