Thanks! That is her second buck, but definitely the bigger one! We hunt in the Thumb, so they can get big if people don't kill all the younger ones. It is getting mounted, we already have a few of my hubby's.

I really hope to get to hunt this weekend! I didn't get o bow hunt last year....dang gallbladder! I had to have it out.

Thanks about the compliment on her name. Her sister's are Montana & Kensington. Ironically, she was not named because we hunt!

AngelaB- Haven't bow hunted in years and never got one when I did. Hope to get back into it again at some point.

My wife had gall bladder problems for two and a half years, ever since our twins were born. She finally had it removed earlier this spring. A night and day difference. You will be glad once you get it out.

All the girls names are beautiful, good luck when you get back in the woods.

I hunt with my car... I have gotten 2 does and 1 buck that way. Only ate the first one, the second got up and ran away, and the buck, 5 point, poor thing, was damaged so bad... Gave me a bad dream on that one. BUT, I know how to skin an butcher a deer now...

love them...they are such big babies. Tell them i said I miss them. My husband cant hold anything either...lol. I take the dogs and cats with me to work to do their nails because nobody here can hold or trim.

Yup good goosers. I am surprised that Miss P is not a talker. Her mom Jazzabelle sure is. She will stand behind Homer and give him an earful. Honkhonkhonkhonkhonkhonk.....
Mine are not excessive honkers but when Gisele lets one out it end in a high pitched screech lol.
Penelope was hand raised along with her siblings. They all move away from your hand as if they dont want to be petted but when picked up they are calm.
A co-worker hatched them and she and her family handled them alot. She told me that they would have a campfire at night and they would sit around the fire and everybody had a goose on their laps. They was going to take a picture but they thought that they would look like a bunch of hillbillies

Gisele is being a brat right now and chasing/herding the turkeys. My co-worker kept Lucy and Buddy.

Give them time. lol. Penelope could talk it up here. She was by far the most out-spoken. And they are used to being coddled and cuddled, my daughter Kayla and I gave them quite a bit of that.
Susan- as soon as Penelope and Henry have you figured out they will start their honkers up. Have you tried calling out to them in the morning/evening as you come walking up -before you clear those bushes? "HENNNNRRRYYYYY"! usually gets them started. lol.

Found new homes for both my Araucana pairs! Well, if tomorrow's pickup goes through

yaaay

Kinda sad to see them go, but I had to thin the numbers a bit before winter so my coop isn't overcrowded.

did u show any at fowle fest

Fowl fest was a bit too far for me and I didn't have anyone to chicken sit. Would have been an overnight trip with the long drive down and back.

I was at FF too! Should have asked around for the BYC crowd. I'll post the pic of my daughter with that pink silkie. I was looking to add to our flock too. Do you know anywhere down here in SE MI for ISAs or Wyndotte pullets?
