Catching up on reading....power outage last night and candles everywhere. Glad it's back on. LOL all this talk about poop! Thanks chicken grandma for the added info. I think I'm gonna take your route. Stacykins.... my son has a microscope, it was fairly expensive for a kids scope but I don't know if is actually strong enough, can't remember the power of it and I don't know what I'm looking for. Something to suggest the kids to do when they say they are bored!! Nova...pretty pic of your eggs.

I would venture to bet that microscope would work just dandy, it should have a 40x objective lens and that powerful enough to see most things! I definitely think there are resources online that have detailed instructions on how-to do a fecal check for various things, and clear pictures of what to look for.

Two eggs again today from Broil and Bake, despite staying in the garage last night.

I would like to have the garage coop finished by the weekend. I have too much clutter to get to the big table saw and other tools I need. If the rain would stop then I could pull stuff out of the garage and have room to work.

I think the scope is strong enough, like I said it was fairly expensive and of good quality. For now I'm just going to find a vet to do the test. My vet doesn't work with chickens but referred me to a vet-buddy of his in the same area that he thinks will/does. He also told me if the vet doesn't to look for a vet the specializes in large animals/livestock. If all else fails I can always ask my DD's horse trainer about her vet. The only problem about that is I never know when she's coming to the barn. I will look into it on line and educate my self for it can't be that hard as long you know exactly what you're looking for.
