Almost 31 weeks old and it looks like she isn't even thinking about laying yet.

It was my own darn fault for not noticing the gap when I moved the fence. My golden (Maggie) wasn't hurting the hen but I'm sure the other hens didn't think so. Then I didn't notice that 1 was actually missing. I thought they were just hiding.

I was thinking that I'd get a couple more chicks after the new year, then lo and behold, Muttsfan makes a post. Karma?

I feel better knowing I have company in the freeloader camp. Pretty girl.

Nancy, I got a roll of plastic at Family Farm & Home. I got the 6 mil which is not really see through like a window but lets light through nicely. You can see objects close to the sides. They also had a 4 mil which was clearer but a thinner. I went with the thinker to make sure it made it through windy weather.

About the clear/white plastic, I was going to say they have it at TSC too. Thats what I am planning on using for a semi sheltered winter area.

Sorry bout your bird Raz, but hey, now You will be back up 2. You'll have 2 of 3 different kinds. And pretty too.

I have a few that don't look like they will lay starting this month like I was told, I am thinking maybe next month. Keeping fingers crossed... But its ok. I like my little freeloaders. LOL.
