Banty eggs count double because there is twice as much goodness in half the package.
Therefore, they cost 4 times as much (Twice times double)

Since the first bla egg on Dec. 4, they laid 26 eggs, averaging 32 grams. Not too shabby for those little ladies.

I usually just keep tallies on breeds, hatches and ages. Some of our eggs are hard to tell who lays what or that would be fun too. I have a bad habit and serious addiction to lists LOL

Ugh more chicken math. I am already trying to figure out where I am going to put all these birds I am planning for spring. Think there is a way to make twice as many chickens take up half as much space?

Since I only have 6 it is pretty easy to tell. The shapes are a little different and so is colouring. 1 BSL and 1 BO lay in the morning and the others lay in the afternoon so it was fairly easy to see what came from who (or is that whom?). Of the 2 BLAs, Gravy lays pointed eggs and Nugget lays more rounded eggs.

Now all I need are a couple to JGs and a couple of Marans for contrast.

Looks to be a rough legged hawk. From what I can tell the wings and beak look totally wrong for an osprey.

I think you are absolutely correct, now that I looked up that species! Michigan is in its winter range, cool

Anyone notice that we are almost to 3000 pages?
I hear if we reach that goal, Teeville is cooking breakfast for us all.
