My oldest son, the chicken enabler, had to go to Oklahoma today for business and was going to stop on the way home to look at and probably buy a trio of spangled hamburgs and a pair of cream brabanters that he thinks would be great additions to my rainbow flock. He has had black australorps for years and has been very happy with how they have performed for him but after seeing my birds when he was here last month he has decided he is going to start replacing some of his hens with more colorful ones. His wife agrees with me that looking at a variety of birds adds to the chicken experience; that there is more to be gained from raising chicken than just eggs.

I will post some pictures tomorrow. I also came home with and extra chick from MJ.. (she is still stuffing them into people's pockets!) I had to do some separating and rearranging of cages. My older bantam chick wanted to have a pick the new kid party. So hauled up another cage and put one of my Del pullets in with the new baby. The Serama's want out of the cage in the worst way! MJ spoiled them, lol. They think they are free range house chicken's now. My Cocker Spaniel thought that they had a great idea there.... lol. Tomorrow I am setting them up in a larger cage and will take pictures.

Crystal, maybe we can have 100 Serama roos and neighbors won't notice, lol. This little guy is pretty quiet and his crow is not very loud at all!

It would be like a storybook for little kids having to keep flipping the pages, but the size of a harry potter book

Not really vacation, but Hong Kong was my favorite destination so far! My oldest daughter and I traveled there in 2004 to pick up my youngest daughter when we adopted her. It was an awesome city!
