Most likely, here or somewhere and they end up here. I feed my cats in the garage. They have a door they can go in and out of and a full bowl most of the time. It tends to attract "friends". Sometimes those friends aren't of the same species!! We no longer fill the big feeder with a 20 lb bag, we just put a bowl out every morning and it is gone or almost gone by night. Otherwise we are feeding a dozens very fat coons!!

Do you see that? Them okies are still talking!! They are an hour or two behind us, so it is not so late for them!! Of course, we will get up earlier than them. You know Steve and Sam, they like to get up awful early!!

Good Morning Everyone! Where are you all?
I have cleaned the kitchen of all birthday paraphernalia, done a couple loads of laundry- got my husband off to work and am on the second pot of coffee...

Wake up.

I was so tired last night, I slept solid. First time in a long time. I have to work today all day, then tomorrow I have off. I have got to clean the coop out- I sure hope the weather cooperates.

I had one tiny EE egg hatch out of the whole Marans/EE/Turken eggs in the incubator. Soooo- time for a new incubator? *grin* OR- and what I think, they all came from Mass. and it was cold that week. So, I think that played a big part and I think I need a new hydrometer/thermometer. Because I had ALOT of fully formed chicks in those eggs that never hatched. Anyhow- once again, I am being serenaded by the incessant peeping of a lonely chick. peepeeepeeepeeepeeeepeeeeeep.....

Wake up everyone! I have to get ready for work, but I will check back!

Vicki, you are right about me getting up early. This morning I woke at 4. I don't know why I get up so early. There isn't much I can do for at least four more hours.

I haven't checked to see how we stand with regard to the other states but a lot of pages certainly were added to our thread yesterday.

I'm looking forward to visiting with Miss_Jayne and ShelbyB1969. I do plan on looking very closely at her Dickie incubator. I currently have 2 Hova Bators and I'm sure that I can build a better incubator. I want a cabinet incubator but don't want one as large as all the commercially available models. I experienced a lot of difficulty with temperature fluxuations with the styrofoam bators.

Good Morning Cat, I've just brewed my second pot this morning. I brew a real dark roast that is fantastic, have a cup. I've been up since 4 and it was real lonely then. Even the house chicken doesn't get up that early. She normally starts getting talkative about 30 minutes before daylight. It's unbelieveable just how loud she has gotten. One more day and then she's going outside with the others.

Opa- I think you have said that before...lol. That chicken is a house-chicken now, you know it. Next thing, we will see you ordering chicken diapers.

Im out the door now- yesterday I left the little cage door open for Cupcake and Popcorn, my little mystery boy and silkie- to integrate amongst their coopmates. My much larger chickens must not have been too impressed. I thought it would be okay- they have been out there how long now? A week. Well, when I got home last night and went out to do a head count- I had one very unhappy silkie baby crying crying crying...so I used her as a transmitter to find the missing little boy. I walked about the chicken yard with this peep machine and finally the little boy came running out from behind a hay bale, right to my feet. LOL.

Off to work, y'all behave now.

My 2 Seramas are being very quiet! They were not at all happy about not being able to walk around my house yesterday... my little cocker spaniel wanted to sample them in a big way.... acts all welcoming , wagging his tail and happy like... till I notice the drool ... He wants him some chicken nuggets!
