My spy window says only 2 of us Michiganders are on right now but when I go to a previous page and look at the profiles it says quite a few are logged on.....hmmmm....something else to iron out???

Gotta go, will check back later and experiment some more!

Might need to change up her name spelling a bit if she is named after the NCIS character (yea, totally a fan!), since the character's name is Ziva. Zeva is close though!

Your lil girl is so adorable! 12 weeks is awfully young, so accidents are definitely normal still. Just keep up with the potty training, which can be especially difficult with small breeds 'cause of their tiny bladders!

Technically, she wasn't named after the show, more of a bonus. haha And I was going to change the spelling, but my parents liked it better with the e.

Can someone explain this.....Private albums no longer supported. You can delete this album by using the edit album button or convert it to a public album.
Are they telling me that I can't do anything with my albums such as move, copy, post to a reply, etc.. and to do so that I need to make them public? I did upload one that got dropped in the transfer to post back onto my page. Public.....that is to whoever is logged on to BYC.

That is the way I read it, so I went public but may yet remove some pics.

That is my thinking also even though I really don't have anything that I don't want anyone to see....nothing to hide.....I just like my privacy. It's like with my albums on Face Book, I don't care if my friends look but I really don't want Joe Schmoe from Timbucktoo looking at them.

Neil the rooster is finally getting the job done. I had a couple bulls eye yolks today. He had been getting cooperation from the girls but didn't have the technique quite right. But now I know where the expression, "don't that just whitewash your chickens", comes from.

I'm not sure but I think Amy may have started laying again. She's been on strike since at least the beginning of December. I got an egg yesterday that looked a little darker than the BOs lay and when I cracked it this morning, the yolk was not the huge yolks that the Buff eggs have. I guess I find out for sure the day I get 3 brown eggs.

I accidentally gave all the chooks heart attacks this morning. They saw me using the snow shovel and freaked out and all darted back into the coop. Chickens really do not like the unfamiliar! Last week I brought treats out in a bright blue bowl. Cadbury saw me and started running to greet me and stopped dead in her tracks. I walked over and put the bowl on the ground and they all stood in a circle about 2 feet back staring at the bowl with Neil making the, "what the cluck" noise he makes when he sees something that worries or startles him. I had to go back in the house and bring the treats out in a different bowl for them to even consider eating them.

My TV is out because my dish is covered in snow and it's 2 1/2 stories up. I guess we need to wait until the sun comes out to watch TV again.

Ah. I see now. Thank You for making that clear!

very sad here. The silkie/cochin that I got as a couple-day old chick from Chickenstock (Keyt), was making a very high-pitched sneeze for two days. Not like a cold, more like she had dust in her nose. She would sneeze repeatedly then not, then sneeze repeatedly then not. When I heard her breathe, she sounded like a kitten mewing. Really. I first looked for a kitten in my chicken coop. This was two days ago. I figured I would give her a couple days- watch her, see if she was indeed sick, or if she had just gotten a feather stuck in her nose before I posted and freaked out.
I just found her dead and snowed on. Not just dead, but dead on her back, feet up. Dramatic dead.

Its sad. I checked Mama and her babies, the fruitloops- then opened the coop door to check my 'early-to-bed' girls and she was missing.
I knew immediately that she had either gone broody/unlikley nobody is laying, or was dead. As soon as I checked under the rabbit hutch where they like to hide when broody, and she wasnt there (i did find a frozen egg, though) I KNEW I was going to find her dead.

I have absolutely no idea what happened to the poor girl. The other chickens appear fine, no sneezing, no mewing, nothing unusual.

If I could have easily caught her, I could have maybe checked her over better.
