I just wanted to stop in and say hi to all my Michigan peeps. I think it has been over a year since my last visit. I am still alive and kicking. I still have all my birds.....and now we have added sheep to the farm. Hopefully some of the old timers are still here that know me. lol

I'm still here, and Sam. Not too many "oldies" left. They just kinda wander away. The newbies take over. But, we have a bunch of nice folk on here. Can't get a word in edgewise, tho. lol

I am hoping to set up some EE eggs for setting the middle of March. Looking for blue or blue/green egg layers only, no olive or "pink" eggs. I would prefer the parent stock to be friendly and not crazy wild like my current silver Ams. And the closer the better of course

So what did everyone think of the Super Bowl commercials? I was disappointed in most of them....they've had way better before...Plus I think they need to do a commercial featuring chickens!!

All 5 chicks are out and peeping. When I transfer them to the brooder I will take pictures.

You are welcome to some of mine if they are the color you want, you have to meet me across the bridge because I won't drive it. The Ameraucana girls hang with the Ameraucana roo but there is always the chance the Polish boy gets involved since I don't keep them all separate.

Thanks Taprock! I love a variable color pen, so color is not so important to me, just looking for some good egg-laying eye candy. And if a parti-polish did show up that would be a riot. The Easter hatch is setting on March 17th, so I will get in touch with you again when the time gets closer.

That little black hen? She is a black Cochin bantam mutt. She weighs a pound tops. She's Oscar the great's sister. Or did you mean the little black chick? That one is Scatters. 3 of the blacks came from Skeeter and Scatter. Aster's 2 came out yellowish and one of Skeeter also came out yellow. Then Buffy had the other black baby because of Roger.

I don't do football... Never got the running around in tights and jumping on each other... Lol. I do understand the landgrab thou. Its like chess in a way. Only more dirty. Lol. I liked football in school when I played in co-ed gym. Hehehe. I mean, who wouldn't like to play football with the football team. Some of them guys were so hot! And now 20 years later, I am thinking to my self, boy how tastes have changed...

I always thought Olive oil was OK?
