Cuteness beyond belief!

I mentioned having a duckling the other day. Now I've got 9 little Muscovies. Here are a couple photos. She's sitting on the rest.

Her nest is on the dirt floor of my coop under the heat lamp.

Noooooo, I went out to check on the ducklings about 45 minutes ago and found one on its back in the center of the coop, I don't know if it's the one that I found alone earlier today but he was so cold and listless! I've got him in a washcloth on a heating pad set to low, I'm hearing an occasional peep now, but when I look he is shivering a little. I'm trying to be careful about the heating pad, don't want him to overheat, but dang! I don't know what else to do. He didn't really want any vitamin water, I figure he's at most 2 days old, so just cross your fingers please!

Do you have a stuffed animal you can put in with him? And a heat lamp- better to heat him from above, like Mama Duck does.

Another alternative would be to go stick him smackdab in the middle under Mama with all his siblings. Nice and toasty there.

Swampducks -
I had a chick fall out of the next box and get cold. I gave her a few eye droppers full of warm water mixed with chick feed which was a wet warm mash.

Do watch the heating pad, those can get crazy hot! Maybe set the duckling next to it - not on it.
