Got 9 Icelandic chicks hatched.

Some of the chicks are Delawares, Black Australorp, and Tomaru.

Congrats Daron!

The snow is starting to taper off and fortunately we didn't get beat up as badly as they had predicted. Carrying a bag of feed wiped me out so I think I am going to leave the snow removal for God to take care of.

Love the chicks.....everyone is hatching away.

I've had Child & infant CPR but need to renew it also.

On my way out the coop I noticed we had 6 deer at the back of our property. They didn't even move when they saw me, kept nibbling on whatever they found. They sure stuck out with the snow on the ground.

Could they do the cortisone shot instead? It's supposed to be better because it doesn't cause scar tissue, and it has a quicker bounce back time. For a while a lot of insurances wouldn't cover it, but it's supposed to be mainstream now. (I've had that happen, before, but never been in for it.)

Cool! Another hair person. Quick question: What would you do for hair that does not hold permanent color? Mine is fine, but i have a lot, and it is super healthy, but will not hold perms/color. dishwater blond. blah. Washes out within 3 washes, even with special shampoo, waiting 3 days to wash, etc. Help?

x 2. This was not something that was a group activity. Also they made no effort to hydrate her. Had they actually been with her, and watching, they would have saw that she was not well. I am all for sports, and active kids, but not by brute force. No one should be corporally punished for eating anyway. Sure fire way to give a kid eating disorders.

Wow, we must be on a snow belt! We got at least 6 inches, before it melted, and everyone around us is posting these 2" pictures!
Lots of baby pics. Love it! Well, we got internet again, but i don't know about doing this site on our computer... Runs really slow afterward, and we have to clear the browser ?

Try using a clarifying shampoo (1-2 times a wk.) on a regular basis.
Clarify the hair before you perm/color. I know beauty supply places such as Sally's who sell to professionals & the general public carry pre-treatments that are applied before you do a chemical service....one I know of is called Malibu but don't know if they carry it. There can be several reasons why it's not holding......certain types of medications (heart, blood pressure, birth control, thyroid) tend to build up on the hair. The hair care products you are currently using also can be a culprit( if commercial products). A lot of commercial haircare products actually strip the color or relax the perm after a few washes. We do not guarantee our chemical services unless the client is using a professional hair care product just for that reason. Plus by doing so enables us to narrow the problem if one should arise. The type of water you have can also be a factor...hard, soft, well water with certain minerals. It's really hard to say from my angel at this moment but my best advice for starters would be to thoroughly clarify.

yeah fuzzy, listen to m.sue's angel.

Ok. Mommy Skeeter is trying to get her chicks back in the coop... But she keeps flying up, not walking up the ramp. This was day two of chick catching. I am covered in chicken presents from fetching them from under the coop. I tried putting a nest box in there, but she would not use it.I can not risk leaving her in there.... Some determined coon or whatever could get in and get them... Man... Dang chicken.

our storm warning is in effect until noon tomorrow. I sure hope it changes...
