Isn't it great! I am so tempted to go on over there and get me some more! BUT I am not that stupid.

I have crappy news again... Buffys 2nd egg, the one I was sure was pure faverolle, well I got a good looksie at her today because its starting to get this head of feathers that is remarkabley silkie-ish... And sure enough, I get a good look at those feet, black.. I get a better look at its skin... black...but its huge in comparrison to is sibling who is all black and little. Dang it all. It is on par with the Uggos right now. I will get a picture tomorrow of this thing. LOL. OH, and it looks like its going to have a mulberry comb... The color though is pinkish/whitish though.

How touching the silence is tonight on this thread. Perhaps like me you are all deeply saddened by the diagnosis of illness in Farmerboy's chickens.

I sure am impressed by the quick thinking of RaZ and his brave efforts on behalf of his friend. It takes real courage to try to help someone.

And I am concerned and will pray daily for Mom2's family and neighborhood safety.

For those of you who believe in God, here is a verse.

What a blessing BYC has been to me. Thank you all for sharing the beauty of your selves.

Boy I'm behind on everything going on with the Michigan folks!

Farmerboy, do you HAVE to cull those birds that test positive? Could they be eaten safely, can someone who doesn't breed or show take them as pets? Can you eat their eggs?
I hate that this is happening for you.
Raz, good call to see what was going on with your FB friend. I believe he wanted your help and was reaching out in the only way he could. If he had truly wanted to go and was truly ready, he would have told nobody and made an attempt.

I was feeling terrible! From a bad cold that I got from you guys! Reading all your posts about your terrible, head stuffing, throat hurting colds got me one!
It feels like someone had grabbed my throat and gave it a good shaking, and all of my joints were stiff with a bad headache. I feel like an old man. Thank goodness for Ibuprofen!

I got to meet RIRJen the other day. She is such a sweet person. And her dog....I tell you she has the biggest dog I have EVER seen in my life. And I am used to having Great Pyrenees . Her St. Bernard is HUMUNGOUS. I think she feeds it people to get it that big LOL.
