I used to tell people that I wouldn't take a million bucks for any of my sons, and I would give you a nickle for another one just like them. I'm not sure if they grew up because of me or to spite me, but I certainly am proud of the men they have become.

great post Opa , reminds me I haven't told my grown kids how proud I am of them lately. May all be up for birthday celebration this Sunday that will be a good time Sons birthdays march 5 (28) and 11(42) son-in-law Feb. 28, (45).

There is a website, Zazzle.com that we could get shirts made from... Some one artistic could design it, turn in the design, so we could individually go on the site and order our shirt in the size we'd need. They start at $15 bucks. Can order them in girl cut also for those who like a girl cut t-shirt versus the general plain shirt. just a thought.

DH just asked me how much it's supposed to rain since it's been doing it for awhile here and I said until it starts to snow.

His reply: Man, we're going to have to put life preservers on the pigs if this keeps up. If we put two together, Rosie (600 lbs) should be able to float!

He was kidding, but he really cracks me up sometimes.

Good Windy Morning Everyone.....gheesh....136 (plus) posts this morning. I got home last night and was just too plain exhausted to even attempt to start reading. The wind was unbelievable last night and still is pretty strong this morning. Can't imagine what Hurricane Winds are like.

Nova....I'm surprised you didn't see any flying cows or monkeys while you were out this morning!

I haven't ventured out to the coop yet but will have to soon. I will also have to go to TSC either today or tomorrow for feed and peek at the baby chicks of course.....JUST PEEK AT THEM! I will hold off for a few more weeks...I can do it....I know I can.

I have to venture BACK to FFH this morning becuase I bought the wrong kits for the rabbit hutch I bought. That also means I must be strong in my efforts to ignore the adorable peeping of chicks.

Raz - Your are getting really good at chicken math. You'll be up near me soon....ahhh who are we kidding...I'm gonna incubate some of these mutt eggs real soon.

I'm just waiting for it to be nice enough for me to do a good clean of the coop so I can close off the brooder area for the new babies. Looks like next week will be the a good time to do that.

Last night I ended up reading 100+ posts and then didn't have time to respond. Now I can't remember. I wanted to post some chick or rather adolescent pictures of my bunch. I'm looking for confirmation on the roosters.

I should have held off a day on the eggs so I wouldn't have to worry about the power. It blinked last night and is out for some friends of ours. Our snow total overnight was 14 inches. DH was of course called in at 4 but I don't expect they will accomplish much until it stops. He said they had to take the time to put on chains this morning to be able to move at all. I know they were short on crew this weekend. I have some pictures but with the snow it's hard to tell depth. I intend to sit in my new sewing room and sew while watching old movies for the day.

I must say that it looks pretty. Wish it was there a couple weeks ago when we were up in your area. Would of made it more fun for the kids but I'm so ready for SPRING!!

As I sit here drinking coffee and watching the snow come down I would like to grumble and complain, but when I look at the amount of snow that so many of you are dealing with I not going to complain. However, when you watch the news coverage of the tornado damage in the south none of us can complain about snow and cold.

so glad we didn't get all that snow! We got a lot of rain though. As far as I'm concerned, winter had it's chance, it's time for spring!

Looks like many small towns down south are literally gone!
This was the second time in history the Weather Channel issued a TORCON warning of 10 - meaning 100% chance of tornadoes present... wow! Feel so bad for the people down there.
