Thanks all.

Doctor said good news- blood count isnt any lower, so not losing blood. He did say that there is a ton of blood in my abdomen that is going to take a long time to be absorbed- why it still hurts so much.

Pulse rate was higher. Didnt like it. Did an ecg. Said that I have too fast of a heart beat. i have been telling him for some time, but my heart never cooperated before and it was always normal when i would go in. But it has a period of racing feels like it is in my throat. Today, he saw that. Put me on some medicine- but I dont know what it is. The pharmacy didnt have it in stock. Tomorrow.

I have to call my dr at seven to tell him how I am feeling.

I am just tired. I dont feel bad. Tender. and Tired. lol. Today, at Walgreens, I knocked down a box of egg dye and didnt pick it up. So, now I am those kind of people. lol.

Sleep. Sleep.

Gracious! What a scorcher! I ended up setting out a huge bowl of water for the binder along with their regular water-er.

you know I gotta love my ducks... Anyone who would have seen me digging thru the compost pile with my rubber gloves for wor,ms probably would have peer their pants laughing. Then to top it off, I wasn't dishing the worms fast enough.... Boy am I happy ducks do not have teeth or I would have holes in my legs!

fly control on the duck coop?

Home from school. We got our mid-term back.

The average score was 70% for the class. In the bio grad programme, a C is a failing grade.
We only have the final and out project left to improve the grade. I don't have high confidence for either. Especially the egg project. My hens' output has been trending downward since I started this assignment. I think they are trying to tell me I have a weakly designed experiment.

Sure is getting cloudy. I think those Washington people are sending us cloud cover for spite.

Raz, good luck pulling yer grade up.
Mom... please take it easy and build your strength up slowly, k?

(sorry). In case you did not know, there ARE better ways to see pond life up close.

Hillbillyhen, thanks so much for the cyber hug. MUCH appreciated!!!
Opa, your chicken sexing idea is wonderful. You should SELL it.

Everybody that posted pictures of cute young birds.....if I take a couple of days off and your birds suddenly go missing, do not look in my Minnesota barn!

Love ya all!

I've found the BEST way to experience pond life is to just get right in there with the critters and the muck.

That's why I love the field work classes.

There were a few things that i was trying to respond to, but "the sky was falling" so i lost them.

Yes, my chickens consider toads a delicacy. To the extent that one of my fuzzers BIT me over one i pried away. NEVER has that hen had one violent bone in her except for when toads are involved.

Mom, glad you are OK. PO'd that the surgeon was so/so helpful. They get payed the most.

Check this out! I went out yesterday to collect some pussywillow branches, and found that we have 3 kinds over here! Don't know what they are, but they are pretty. There may be more, but these were the prettiest of the kinds i saw. The yellow one has flowers and pollen right from the get-go, and the bees were flocking to this one. They even had the faintest smell, tho with all the pollen i inhaled trying it was hard to explain, lol. Of course, i like the mutant green one.... So i'm trying to root all three. Any advise?

Just stick them in water and they should be fine. Just don't let the water get stagnant.
I have a whole bucket full of "golden" willows sprouting. I'll take a picture tomorrow.

Mom 2, you must rest and take it easy. If you don't, it will take even longer to heal.

I love all the pics of the chicks. Especially the little blue one

Robin, remember when you were here last week to pick up the chicks and we saw the hawks fling around? Well today they had chicken dinner. R.I.P. Gabby. She was one of my oldest EE's. This is the first time I have ever lost a chicken to a hawk.
