Sure couldnt do that in our yard, you would sink in the mud. My back yard is half mud. It is terrible letting the dogs out.

My husband is looking for a sickle bar- if you know of anyone selling one, please let me know. He wants to restore it. I have no idea why.

It's amazing how rejuvenating a morning cup of coffee is. I got back late afternoon yesterday and I'm glad to be back. If there is such a thing as a good funeral, this was one. It was a beautiful ceremony with a amazing number of friends and family celebrating her life. We should all have such a send off.
The weather forcast for the next several days looks like it will allow me to get this place cleaned up. I'm not sure but when I make a run to Tractor Supply for scratch and woodshavings, I may have to wear earplugs and blinders. From the number of e-mails I have received from them about chicks I wouldn't be surprized to find them there.

I'm on a mission today....sell some chicks! If anyone's interested, I've got 4 Dominiques (4 weeks old) and a Danish Brown Leghorn pullet (5 weeks old), who need homes NOW!

Morning all been off sick, and with pups trust me that is not easy LOL. All the PomChi's are gone and only 3 shelties left. That is the good news, the great news is I am snuggling with 4 5week old Chihuahua pups right now man I just love puppies LOL 2 of those are already spoken for they go quick.


I haven't caught up on the back pages I missed so I am not sure who all have been sick sure hope you are all feeling better that flu is not fun and I never get the 24 hour one I get the week long one

Opa I am not sure who you lost but I sure am sorry that you are going thur the loss of a loved one.

My son is sure glad that I am feeling better he was not happy with quick and easy meals he had to make himself. He sure is spoiled for a young man about to turn 17 and he knows it now for sure LOL.


Steve that was really mean of you to post a pic of your yard when we still have 2 feet of snow on the ground and 8 inches of ice where the snow has been plowed. But if I can't have a bare yard I sure am glad that you can. I envy you the company you have had as well. I am making everyone stay away until I can lysol everything LOL which will be today if I can make it thru without having to lay down LOL

My Mom came for coffee this morning and we made bread together. It was very nice, just finishing up baking it now. It will be my dish to pass at a birthday party this afternoon.

Opa- I went to TSC on Friday and there were no chicks. So you should be safe if you go today! Glad you are back. I have been to a few funerals that were good like you mentioned. What a blessing to the families to hear such a wonderful message when they are grieving.

Kids are on the mend, I think! I cannot wait til I can turn the tv off. They will have withdrawls I know.

Made it to church this morning, but didn't stay to teach my Sunday school class. Hurried home to help Jon with the kids.

Crystal- sorry for your chicks. I don't have any advice, we are trying for our first hatch in a few weeks. Keep us updated.

Sorry for the upnorth folks and the snow at your homes. Hope the warm weather will make it up to your place and melt it all. I am so ready for spring. Geese were flying north last night and early this morning...so the warm weather is coming!

Hi everyone!
doing my weekly check in, Its just beautiful out today!
Saying prayers for those of you who are not doing so great this week. Sounds like a few of you have had a rough time of it. It is feeling like spring here so am thinking on putting up some better nesting boxes. I have one out of three that all of them like right now. I have been searching all day looking for the thread that has the picture of the stand with the 5 gallon buckets a gal made and posted about two weeks ago. I want to show it to DH so he can stop looking at me like I am a nut bag! lol
Anyone have a link to that thread. I have looked high and low, I know it was this board I saw it on. Stay healthy everyone and enjoy the spring sunshinee
