Sometimes the muscle tension associated with migraines is almost as bad as the headache. Try running a sink full of hot (not scalding) water. Put an icepack on the back of your neck, and submerge your arms in the hot water. This relaxes your neck and shoulders.

Hey guys, my friend needs help re-homing her dawf Nigerian Goats.

Here is her note to us:
"Hi all, Well I called the township and I checked online, but got a note from the township asking me to remove my goats. I guess I didn't look in the right place on-line or talk to the right person.

Anyway, I'm parting company with a pregnant blue-eyed Nigerian Dwarf doe and her whether brother. They are both blue-eyed and the goat stud of the kids was too. So, I'm planning on one or two blue-eyed kids at the end of July. The adults weigh 20-25 pounds but, dispite their small size, they are still considered dairy goats because they produce so much milk. (Well, the doe will.) Her brother is her companion since they cannot live alone.

They have a house, a food house, food and all of the accessories that are needed for goats. There are even fence posts and a gate if helpful. I've got more than $400 invested but at this point, I'd be willing to sell goats and everything else. for $200. They are pets and all I ask is the guarentee they will not be eaten!

I'm going to put them on Craigslist this weekend. Please let anyone you know that might be interested that they are availalble. They are really fun to have. The male is clown! The female is friendly.
Thanks, Mary"

She lives near me on the west side of the state but she is willing to give you everything you need for $200. I so wish I could take them for her but I can't. Here they are. PM me ASAP if you are interested.

I had a long night last night. My daughter had one of her intense migraine episodes which took forever to get under control. She took her regular medicine for it, but it didn't help so we tried the new medicine the doctor gave her to use with it to try to break it. She started to have weird side effects that took almost an hour to go away. Thankfully, she did finally get relief and sleep. I cannot wait until she finally goes to the neurologist in May so that we can get a better understanding of what's going on with her.
And of course, as with any late night I have, I got called in to work this morning so I am zonked.

teeville, I hope your daughter gets some relief. My DIL suffers from severe migraines and found out it was mostly due to certian foods.

But what are undertaker duck eggs?

Thank you, Michigan, and good night. Thank you for your friendship and letting me hang out with you all. You folks are awesome.

Anytime, you are more than welcome here.

I am doing pretty well, considering. I saw the surgeon yesterday and asked for the rest of this week off. If I had to start back today, I would die. And told him so- my job is very high-physical stress and running around. Just give me this week..that gives me fourteen days since surgery.

Thank you all for the well-wishes and thoughts. My daughter is sick,
Mom2, I am glad you are doing better but don't rush things. I hope your daughter will be feeling better soon too.

Please wish my DH luck today, he's going for a job interview in Mason.

Stay warm!

Good luck to you and your DH!

babigyrl, I almost wish I could get the goats. I have the room but no funds or energy to take care of them.

Aww, I hope she can find a really good home for them! If they're registered, they'll definitely be easier to place. The blue eyes really help too, blue eyed goats are stunning. It is a dominant gene, so her kids have a high probability of being blue eyed too.

Babigyrl- my DH is very interested, but wants to ask a few questions and think it over.

Does everything mean they come with their house and such?
Could it all be transported with our truck or would we need something bigger?
Does she know the stock they came from? Any health issues that should be noted?

They would definitely be pets so no worries there. They would fit in nicely on our farm.

My "home recipe" for migraine headache - 2 ibuprofen (400 mg), 2 regular-strength Tylenol, and caffeine (soda or tea for me). If I take it at the first sign of trouble, it will usually head things off at the pass. I have a habit, though, of denying that it is the start of a migraine, even though they always start the same way

, and usually don't take meds early enough.

No word from Farmerboy yet? Starting to worry about that boy.

I'm not sure I can use the 'home recipes' for my daughter. They have her on a medicine that she cannot take with anything else unless the doctor okays it. I wish it were as simple, though. Just so it's understood, her headaches/migraines are constant. 24/7. In the past 8 months, she has only had a few days where she didn't have one. She takes her medicine at night so typically mornings aren't too bad. As the day progresses so does the pain. Some days she can maintain a 4, but usually she ends the day around 6 or 7. Then you have the 10 episodes which are difficult to deal with and I feel so helpless during these. So thank you again for the helpful tips. The heating pad is one I think she could react positively to.

So did everyone get through the cold night? How are your plants and critters?
We did OK down here. It must not have frosted.

The night before I had put the ducklings in the tent coop with a heat lamp and they were fine the next morning except 1 was missing. So last night I put them in the chicken garage with the heat lamp. This morning got off to a late start but all feathered friends were content in the garage with the 3 remaining ducklings hanging out near but not under the heat lamp.

I don't know what happened to the 4th duck, I looked all over the yard several times yesterday but never saw a sign of it. I hope wherever he went he is surviving. He is a wild duck
