All this talk of bees. I've been working on the hubby for a few years now, just this past winter he finally conceded. Man it was hard work convincing him he wanted to be a bee keeper.

Hello Everyone! Old and Newbies.

What a nice sunny day. Not to hot, not to cold. Bit windy, but good day over all. Wish I could enjoy it more. Had an attack last night that nearly had me in tears, triggered an anxiety attack that just does not want to go away. I am really wondering if I have something more going on with my body. I went to get out at my condos where I deliver, and when I stepped out of the car, my ankles and my knees were just screaming. My lower back in the kidney area, and the center of my back just below my shoulder blades ache, but I think that if from the anxiety attack. My stomach is very rigid feeling, and I am a fat girl, so when I say rigid, that can not be good. But again, that just might be from the anxiety attack. My head is kicking me again today. Yesterday was nice. I did not have a head ache.. I don't feel 38 today. I feel twice that. This sweet old lady at the condos, she's 90, and she was walking faster than me today! WTH! How is that possible. And she's in the independant/assisted living... By that, she has her own apt in the atrium, but she also has the ability to use the staff as needed if you understand what I mean... Well anyway, I am thinking she probably could have carried my bag for me today. LOL. I keep telling myself I just need to hold out for 2 months... I don't know if I can do that... UGH! OH if only I were a welfare baby. I don't believe in taking other peoples money cuz I am to lazy. Dont get me wrong, I realise that there are people who really do need public assistance, and I do not begrudge them that, but as long as I can work, I will. And IF I quit working one job now just cuz I feel like I rolled in a poop pile... A HUGE poop pile.

I have another hen contemplating broody-hood. Skatter can not make up her mind if she want to eat, or if she wants to sit... She aint going to keep no eggs until she makes up her mind. Just like a woman. LOL

Oh, I am tired. Gotta go freshen up the ducks.

Yep, 'tis a fine line between too drafty, well ventilated, and not enough ventilation. Moisture in the hive means it can drip on the bee cluster and also refreeze.

I guess that's to be (bee?) expected in a critter that fills anything smaller than 3/8" and anything larger than 3/16".

Olive, what do you mean it took you a few years to convince him? It was totally his idea from the start!

Hey stacykins, where do you get your bees from. I built a hive last sprung, but never got a package.......between building a huge raised bed garden, horses,4h with my daughter, working full time and being very pregnant to boot...I just never got around to it. Maybe it will happen this year.

Could be worse... I could be very pregnant to boot! Thanks, and congrat on the baby to be. When are you due? Can I rub your belly? LOL. Just kidding. I totally never had anyone want to rub my belly. I think I must have given the TOUCH ME AND I WILL KILL YOU face. LOL

I'm about an hour and a half north of you. High 20s to low 40s, depending on the night. Ours roost at night, cuddled up one next to the other.
Well that makes me feel better about putting them out this weekend. I hope they do ok. BF texted me earlier said my BSL kept acting like one of her legs wasn't working and she would fall over, then the same thing on the other leg. He said then she was getting pecked at and so he took her out, and she proceded to escape from him and he had to chase her around the living room. So apparently she is alright now? haha...He said she seemed fine after he took her out of the crate, not sure what that was about. Hope they stay ok.

EeyoreD, I love your picture!!

Lol. That was last summer...big as a house! Now I'm outside with the little 8 month old guy and 4 year old in tow. Ah yes, The TOUCH ME AND DIE LOOK FOR SURE! Really looking forward to this year. Now it doesn't take me half a day to bury one 4x4 post. I should be able to get a lot more done...I hope. Hahaha! He's already pulling himself up on everything and taking steps along the furniture......be walking just in time for garden season......LIFE IS GOOD!
