I have a free goose- dinner or pet.
He is a year old male and saturated with testosterone. Dad is an American lavender and mom is either a Production Toulouse or American buff and his color is blue. He has no mate and is trying to take over my turkey flock.

Darn, I was all excited there thinking I could pick up a guard goose for my young chickens until I got to that last line and realized I'd then need something to protect the flock from the guard goose.

Chickmate- Today is day 25 on the first 2 emu eggs, so they are on the halfway mark!

But still 25 days or so more to go!

On Sunday is the wiggle test! Meaning I will be putting the eggs on the table to see if any of the eggs wiggles to confirm that they are fertile and alive.

Also today is day 11 on 3 eggs, 40ish more days to go!

Good luck with them, Daron. Can't wait to see hatchling pics if they do well. Boy, I'll bet those buggers eat a ton! Will you raise them to sell for meat?

Maybe if I had given her a goose, she wouldn't be mad at me.

Has anyone heard of a coon attacking chickens during daylight hours? I just watched a coon crawl out of my wood duck house and amble off into the woods. He was obviously in there all day while the chickens were free ranging right below. I know, I know. Shoot it. Could someone just please advise if it's likely or probable that it will attack during the day? I still don't have a gun but my neighbor does.

Maybe it's the climate change thing, but I think the critters have been acting strangely this spring. (I know I have.)

There are certain mental problems where people enjoy negative contact with other people. So they try to connect with you in a negative way. If you respond they are satisfied and after a time they try to make negative contact again. It's their problem. The best response is no contact. Because any contact with them feeds their desire to make negative contact with you. Very very sad.
Does she have a husband or other adult living with her?

Mom, I know, I know. I have an appointment in May... BUT, they told me to go to the ER if I get worse. Tonight I have no pain. Its just gone. I am wondering if I overdid it with the 3 items I have been taking... I was using the valarian root tea with peppermint to sleep, and the added benefit of settling my tummy... Anyway... I am not going to take chances. Next attack that I have, I am going to the ER and screw my jobs. If I lose them, I lose them. I know I can get help doing the GRP. I have nice friends there. The Sentinel is a different story, but I wrote up my notice on that, and already talked to one of the ladies there while we were at the lab. She went in for blood work too. Well, anyway... I am not too worried about recovery. You are the first person I have ever seen look like they were hit by a cement truck in the abdomen after one. I figure it can't be any worse than having my tubes tied. ALSO, here in Holland, they have the ONE cut only surgery. YEAH!

Well, RaZ, if that is all the crazy nieghbor really wanted, was a goose... well, why didn't you oblige? OH, cuz then you'd probably have your tires removed and set in the back of your pick up... There is no winning with (B)witches like that.

I was checking out craigslist today... There is a person on there selling a pair of black and a pair of partridge silkies for $50 a pair. AND 6 couple a days old chick for $40... I guess I can see the $40 for the 6 chicks, as my silkie normally only lays about 4 eggs a week... BUT, $50 bucks for a pair? Am I the only one who think that is just outlandish?

Yep, that is the term. And they are out there! My grandmother is an energy vampire. She drains you of every ounce of life and positivity in about thirty minutes. Remedy for recovering from an energy vampire attack: booze.

Personality disorder. Almost impossible to change. Almost every family has one of these characters. They do respond to authority figures so that is one approach, document and get a lawyer/police officer or some authority to intervene. That way she gets no contact with RaZ but when she behaves badly she gets a visit from an authority figure - that should work.
That is why I was wondering if she had a husband. Because if he is paying the bills she may listen to him. Who pays her bills? Seriously, she will listen to someone who has authority over her but otherwise reasoning with her won't work.
