I would really enjoy seeing your farm, and learning how to can. My grandmother used to make grape jelly from the grapes off her vines.
I never paid any attention.
THen, when I lived with my Gram and Gramps in Tennessee, I was too busy being a teenager to pay attention when they canned EVERYTHING..back then, I was trying to find a reason NOT to be in the kitchen with them...now I wish...
I know. I'm a long ways from you and Raz, both.
My Grandpa always kept a big garden and did all the cooking and canning. He passed when I was sixteen and hadn't a clue these things would ever interest me. Now I wish he was around to talk to about this stuff. Many of his recipes were lost when all the stuff was split amongst the family. It makes me so sad that it's all gone. Food is important to me, so it's one of those things I would have really liked to have passed down.
