I think you guys are crazy!! I saw no sun today!! Bright clouds... yes... wetness... yes! Sun... no!

I had lots of bees around last week, and when it was really warm... hopefully they got some of the blooms!

Good luck with your puppy! He sounds like a raging ball of cuteness!!!

Not to alarm you, but... that joint of your thumb is the most mobile joint you have in your entire body. When I fractured it skiing, I had to go to physical therapy for a year, and it still does not work properly. Be careful with it, and best of luck to both of you.

I am a mom of boys ages 8, 10 and 12...and I work in the medical field. I've become pretty hard to alarm.

We don't even go to the ER for stitches anymore if it looks like I can fix it with superglue or butterfly strips. I haven't gotten crafty enough for broken bones yet though.

He has an appt tomorrow with the orthopedic doc.

I worked my "day job" today and also got called into the superintendents offfice.

They wanted to know why I'm moving my children from the school district...so I told them. They kinda begged and pleaded for me to think about not changing...

Begging doesn't work for my children so I highly doubt it will work on me with adults.

Anyway, back to chickens... I took Waffles and her "baby crew" out to their own enclosed run today and those little silkies are having a ball! Their little feet have never felt grass and they were just so cute. I went to check on them a few min ago and that crazy chick is trying to get all 8 babies(two of which are almost as big as her...RIR and BA) under her wings. Lordy....

This is so funny that this chick is acting that way so young!! It's like she's a teen mom, haha! Makes me laugh every time you talk about it.

Stop me if you think this is not a good idea. haha

It is pretty warm out today, and I need to clean the brooder, so I was going to let my chickens run outside near me while I clean it. It doesn't take very long to clean, but I've never had my chickens outside before. I brought one out today, Penny, and she did really well, except she kept jumping on me and my husband for safety. I just don't want them to run away while I'm cleaning their brooder. Thoughts?

We got a really nice, older coop for them that they will be going in soon. My husband just fixed the roof and floor of it, and we will be working on the interior in the next week to make it perfect for them. I'm so happy that I can still tell them all apart now that they look a lot different than they did when I first got them.

Yea, mine were already living in their coop at that point. You can let them out for sure. They are fast though! so if you think they'll run from you maybe put them in a fenced area or something? They are definitely ok to be outside though.
