Ok... Don't know if I have said this or not already... has been a long busy day.
Skatter has taken to Mommy-hood just fine. She's realized that those little creepy crawly things under her are what comes out of the eggs. She hasn't pecked a single one since the first hatched. Its doing fine too. She's moved them out of the nest box/cat carrier right next to the food and water, so I took the carrier out so they'd have all the room in the broody box. She has one super tiny little black one that came out of Skeeters egg. The other three, all look like chickmunks. All 3 have faverolle beards. I am not sure which one is the faverolle chick though. Even though 2 are FAV/GLD crosses, they came out light, look like faverolle chicks. OH, and they all have 5 toes on each foot. The chick that got a bad start is thriving as well.
Skeeters first hatch is still sticking pretty close to the coop. Roopert is being a terror to them. And I do mean a terror. He will not go in the big coop though. Mr. Fluffer whoops his butt if he catches him in there. Well 2 weeks is too long. Roger hates being locked up, too. I need to get that A-Frame finished. I haven't finished it yet, cuz it needs to be moved into place. I think once it is where I want it, it'll stay there... I was looking at wheels for it... but how to attach? Well, I know how to attach them, but thats not what I mean. How to attach them so they are up in the tractor, and the bottom of the tractor still practically touches the ground? I want to be able to move it forward a few feet every week... I'll get it rigged... I'll duck tape them into place! Just kidding.
Gotta go to bed now. I am tired.
