This michigan thread is funny people post b s and nonsense about their day to day life over and over again. But if someone has a legitament chicken question needs help they get ignored. maybe I should post about my kids diarrhea and sneak in a chicken question maybe I'll get a response?

I'm looking to add a Ameraucana or EE pullet to the flock if someone could guide me to the direction of a reputable breeder or might have some them self please PM me it would be much appreciated.

I've had a rough week. Not feeling well...lost a bunny...lost as in it jumped off the grooming table....then off my 8ft deck and off through the woods it went. I assumed (my fault) that the breeder, who shows rabbits, had blown out his coat before...apparently no. He freaked. :: sigh :: I found a suitable replacement for him but ****....if I didn't have alot of money just hop off into the woods.

There are four reasons I don't answer questions:

1) I don't know. (So very rare, I tell you.

)

2) I didn't read your post

3) The only answer I have is over-the-top snarky. (Yes, I think even worse things than I already post. I KNOW!)

4) I think answering is a waste of my time. Mostly because you've demonstrated that you're not really interested in advice/answers consistently and repeatedly in the past. (And yes, now I know you'll all be wondering if I'm talking about you in this one. That's the fun part! Bwahaha!)

I only made it this far in my catching up on the thread. Seriously, you people were taking up all my free time this morning. Nova, can you recap the rest for me?
Today is my sons nineteenth birthday. First birthday he hasnt lived at home. What does one do for their kids birthdays when they no longer live at home?
He is coming here for hotdogs and chili (he requested that meal) and cheesecake. I didnt get him a gift- he gets money this year. Welcome to the real adult world. Money is a great gift. lol

I think I am going to take Toes and Carmen2 to my brotherinlaws today. OLIVE They both have found the need for feather plucking. Toes likes bare butts- and he wont stop plucking feathers out of the two NotMeaties that I have, and Carmen2 has begun this habit of ripping beakfuls of feathers out of the other birds then eating them up. OLIVE. I was horrified.
Imagine walking up to someone and ripping out a mouthful of their hair and swallowing it???? Um, I think the people would think you were a zombie or something. Well...
thats the effect she has on the other hens now...she comes, they squawk and run..OLIVE
Is their some nutritional problem that would cause a hen to do that?

I have a hen that is broody right now and a couple of days ago I took her away from her eggs to eat and drink for a couple minutes (I do this twice a day) and I accidentally forgot to put her back on her eggs (oops) so she was off them for about 36 hours. I put her back on them and today I candled the eggs and they were all definitely moving around. I always hear that the eggs can not live this long without heat so why are these still alive? The eggs were on their 12th day of incubation.


This is my single runner duckling. It is imprinted on me and is being very obnoxious right now and trying to eat the computer.

How is Waffles the teen mom doing? Is she getting more pearl in on her?

Teen mom Waffles is still in love with the whole lot of those babies. Even the RIR who has now outgrown her at only 3 1/2 weeks old.

That tiny little hen can get a LOT of babies under her! And yes, she is starting to get pearl up closer to her head now.

The coffee finished brewing a few minutes ago. The cups are in the cupboard just to the right of the pot, hazelnut & Italian creamers next to it, and donuts are on the opposite counter. So help yourself and we'll sit here a wait for the sunrise together. The older I get the more I appreciate their beauty and significance.

Tomorrow is a pretty special day. I am fortunate that I can still tell my mother how much I appreciate her bringing me into this world. I know that this Mothers day is going to be a very special day for my first ex wife. Jobs, military service, school, and of course the distance that all entails has only allowed my sons to be together 5 or 6 times in the last 20 years. Since David has gone to southern Missouri to help his brothers they will all three be together tomorrow and I'm sure they will all go do something with her. In fact I think I will give her a call later today to wish her a happy Mothers day and thank her for such wonderful sons.

Woke to 3 silkies (white, black and buff) and 2 b/b/s Orp chicks in the incubator, with a few more pips - yay!

Your whole post had my giggle out loud...thanks for making my family wonder what's wrong with me. THey are already suspicious anyway.

I was outside moving the retaining wall from point A to point B in my backyard desert but I looked up and noticed that my husband was sitting on the deck, watching me work.

That never works out well. So, I am now on the computer.

Good morning All....did a lot of reading yesterday and when I was finished I was whipped. I did find it all quite entertaining.
The weather is really looking nasty right now...lightening, thunder, dark clouds but no rain yet. Looks like it is rolling in fast and I hope it keeps rolling right on out of my area. I wanted to work in my herb garden and plant a few pots.

Don't know who was originally asking about this.....this method doesn't work on my computer...don't know why....Someone kindly suggested resizing this way.....
1. Left Click on pic...pic will high light
2. Then right click, box pops up, then click on image properties
3. type in dimension width... I usually go with 200 or 300 height automatically is calculated
4. Left click OK and it's resized.

I love your philosophy and out look on life and always look forward to to your morning post. I have a dearly beloved client who basically thinks the same as you...Always looking on the positive side of things. She is now 99 years old and although she is in a nursing home ( only been there for 9 months ) she still very mobile with the help of a wheelchair and is of sound mind. I always looked forward to seeing her every Friday for her standing appointment.....she keeps me grounded and always made me look at the big picture! Really taught me to appreciate life & the little things.
