Raz, Here he is, I guess the spots are more orange.. I'm sure they'll get brighter if he had some sunshine! See the scales, only on the lateral and dorsal lines~ I had to feed him to get a side shot, otherwise he wouldn't stop looking at me! LOL! I think he's about 8 yrs old or so.



Here's the cat, he looks huge here but he's about 6" long and about as big around as a golfball.



And.... the fish tank if anyone is interested or knows anyone who is!

I wasn't planning on butchering a cockerel today. And I know young males can be rambunctious. But he was done when he ripped beakful after beakful of feathers out of one of my most mellow hens trying to mate, then kicked the crap out of her when she finally had enough and ran away. So he is in the oven now, roasting away. He weighed 2lbs 12 ounces, not that bad. It'll be a perfect meal for my mother and I, with maybe some leftover meat for stir fry or curried chicken or something tomorrow.

you are much better then me, need DH to the deed. I have been reading up on different ways to cull them, what way do you use??
going to try just slitting an artery.

Swap and go if you like, but I thought that we would end up BSing for a while. Fire up the grill and have a few ginger ales. Divide some perennials...

I would love the tank if I had the wall space. My biggest wall now holds a stupid teevee. Wonderful tank though.

I no longer have 11 chicks so my proposition is moot...
I don't know what ditch lilies are but I will bring what I can and you can pick and choose.

It's not the brooder I was referring to. It's the dozens of chickens that you plan on bringing home.

Uggos are fine and the slave labour is a bonus. But if you think I am your waiter...

Put in another order with another teacher for 2 chicks for me 6 for my neighbor... only 10 hatched= BYFM has 11 chicks
BYFM takes chicks to nieghbor after picking out 2 to stay= 9 chicks left
Neighbor takes all 9 chicks= BYFM

There are tons online. I just searched Angel Wing and adapted from a few u-tube vids and pics. Very interesting how waterfowl get this and the consequenses left unattended. Sorry, no pics but I should put one up of her sometime chasing the dog, ha ha!
