the bleeding hearts are rare I have never seen them in a catalog, I got them from a dear friend she is 94 now and has supplied more gardens with plants then you can imagine. she gives with the instruction to pass on any surplus. I will bring some to CS my duty to Alice.I have a garage full of dug up plants right now waiting for my daughter she puts them out on her veggie stand. (needs the extar $$)

Pimento!

Are notmeatie roos even capable of Uggo reproduction? My Chimichanga doesnt seem capable of doing much more than walking....well, yesterday, he was capable of running for short distances. He was pretty convinced we were coming for him.

Absolutely! Be warned though, he will tear your hens up something fierce. They tear up LF hens, can't imagine how bald and rode-hard-put-away-wet an uggo (or other smaller) hen would look. If they don't submit you're also probably going to have injuries due to his weight and strength. When you're ready, let me know. I'll bring the beans and rice.... and FLAN! You know you want flan.

OH OHOHOHOH!!!! how much??

Well see, I have this counting disorder..its how I ended up with so many myself..and if Nigellas had taken her THREE, you wouldnt have gotten a spare..but as it was, I had a spare. Its an enhanced six, thats all...If either that really cool blue/black splashy fuzz one and that black silkie end up being a roo, you have to pair them up and see what they make because blue or splash Uggos would be like the ultimate coolness...

oh! awww...I just gave them all away except my one. Its Nigellas and BYFM and SillyChicken who hold the torch now for the next generation..gotta watch out for RIRJEN- she is bringing some to Chickenstock...

I have the same disorder!
They look beautiful to me, can't wait to pick them up later today!!

We're finally getting some rain this morning!!

I'm a bit bummed this morning, my micro-dermal piercing has worked it's way to the surface and came partly out. I had to actually cut the rest of it out of my skin (eww). I really liked the darn thing and now it's gone!

Oh well... there's plenty of skin left to poke holes in! LOL!

I've been mulling the idea of culling all but one small Fav. roosters out.... my girls need a break. The one big roo the girls seem to like/respect got in a fight and has a nasty mouth wound that won't heal. I guess I'll have to hit him with some antibiotic if I decide to keep him.

Raz, nice to meet you this morning!

WHEW! Looks to be another scorcher of a day. Got up earlier than normal and got all the chickens out and about. Got the meaties out too, before their little coop heats up. They literally come tumbling out of the door when I open it. I am going to have to engineer a night safe cage/run for them... Something... Maybe fencing over the top of their coop with 2x4 framing so the heat will go out. I'd do it for the door too, but since they sit right their, they'd be easy snackers if a coon were to come on by... Maybe a fan... I think that would probably be best. I have this super tiny fan that kicks out a great bit of air... just need a power cord...

Not supposed to be as hot tomorow. Hope it rains today. The kids could have fun playing in that. Oh look, here come some clouds now.

Spent my morning replacing ripped screens. Oh joy of joys when its time to do that. I hate that chore. Not the re-screening part, but getting them out of the window frames and back in. It wouldn't be so bad if I could do it from the out side... but 1) I hate ladders higher than a step ladder, and 2) bi-level.

I don't think anyone really believes that you are out of the Uggo Creation Business, Mom2. You are just going to come up with a whole new model of uggo.

Well, guess I will go and find something else to do with myself. Not sure what yet, but this house is a mess, and I have a basket full of laundry on hangers, yes, they are on hangers in a basket. Its cooler in the lower level, so hung them on the hangers, but them in the basket... still needs to make it up the stair to the boy's closet. And I am pretty certain the floor needs a good moping.. I have about 2 hours before the kids come too...

Kim, I want one of your showgirls!!!!!!!!

So the ever so cool BRahmer bought one of our coops yesterday. Aric is putting together plans for another one. Anyone lese? lol

Tractors?

Let me know. :)
Thank you Keyt. I am using it already and I love it. Your BF sure does a great job building those. You can tell he puts a lot into one. There have been some changes on the next one he is going to build for me so I will pm you with the changes. Again, thank you.

My sister is back in the hospital again. The injury to her liver that she got during her "routine" gall bladder surgery, is not healing. She's continuing to drain high amounts of bile from her shunt tubes, and now her protiens are at dangerous levels.Shes so week and in so much pain, can't eat anything. She's been on a liquid diet, and now not even able to keep that down, its returning undigested. She's lost 20 pounds in the last week alone from it.SO, they are going to cut her open, the BIG one and "FIX" it. How the hell can they F up so bad that they nearly kill a person! And then still do not fix it right after the second, third, and now will be the fourth surgery to "FIX" the "OOPSY!"

She sent her BF for a lawyer.

Someone said to give the chicks warm water instead of cold... It helped my poor little guy! I thought I was being a good mommy by giving him cold water but his stool was really wet. I gave him warm water and it has stiffened up to normal again! Thanks!

The neighbors had one too many adult beverages last night... They thought the uggos were the best! They suggested I name one of the showgirls Marilyn cause it made them think of Monroe. I thought Lola would be more appropriate.
But I have named them Marsala, Parmesana, Hunan, Teriyaki, Nugget, and Noodle Soup (aka Brother)
What is the ziplock baggie with water trick for flies?
My MIL uses snack size ziplocks and puts 2 pennies in them and fills them with water. She puts them in the kitchen window to keep out flies. I thought she was nuts but people said they have tried it and it works! I have not had a problem with flies in the house, but if the coop gets crazy I will hang some in there!
I still think the little guy with the stripe down his head looks like he has eye's on the back of his head. could be a good defense to predators
He does! I hope it helps! Anytime I hear a hawk, even if I am sitting right next to them, I pack them up. They get so angry!
