Showed these photos to DH, Conversation went like this.

Me: M2M calls them Uggos, I've been threatened with one.
DH: Well if you get one, tell her it's going to be eaten.
ME: I'd be afraid to eat it.
DH: Some people are afraid to eat guineas:
ME: But guineas are tasty.
DH: You know, a cross between a guinea and one of the Uggos could be kind of interesting, That guinea head and those bodies, would really look like a dinosaur chicken.

Uh, oh. You got uggo fever! You got uggo fever!
lol.png
The only way to cure it is to order an uggo from Mom2 and have her give ya the slip... That is, she slips ya 1 or 2 more than you ordered

Guineas and chickens have been know to cross but it is pretty uncommon. The result of a normal chicken and guinea cross is pretty bizarre looking. I would recommend anyone with small children not try crossing Uggos with guineas as the resulting offspring might cause nightmares of monumental proportions. I wouldn't risk it, your children might even grow up to be fowl fondlers.

Was all excited, going to get an Araucana rooster today. But then things didn't work out. Bummer! Took myself down to the barn and gave my donkey Chumley his first bath (well first for him and I anyway). Ain't he Purty?! That's him in my avatar...

I will be taking bets on how fast he rolls and looks spotted again.
He is so purdy!!!! I want one!!!!
love.gif
PS we take bets on how long my bichon will stay clean after his bath too.

Everyone is gone now.
I think that we all had a good time. I know I did.
Chickens were traded off and so were plants.
New friendships were made and I'm sure that they will continue.

Gotta love them crazy chicken peoples...
I don't know if Crabby noticed at all. I don't care if she did or not.
I do know that I enjoyed the time spent with good people and I hope that they enjoyed being here. I was happy to be the centre point for folks to meet and get to know each other.

I think it is a prelude to CS 2012.
Agreed
Had a great time at Randys-
Randy is lots of fun, and Kayla feels he is the best person ever.
Great to be fed, thank you Ashley and Randy.

Nigellas and BYFM have the cutest kids ever ever..we will all have to do this again soon..beyond Chickenstock. Minus the Uggos. Or maybe with Uggos, part four....
Your welcome
and Thank you
It was good to see you again. I think you were the first BYCer that I met in person. You were certainly the first to lend a helping hand when I needed it.

I'm happy that Jude liked the skunk. Everyone who showed up liked Sebastian. BFM even gave him a bath and showed me how to do it. And no one got sprayed...
lol.png

And for what it's worth, my yard is always in flux. I don't think that it will ever be done, but I'm OK with that.
wink.png
He is sooooo cute! I got to feed him too!!!

Snowflake. That bleeding heart is bleeding awesome!

Mom2... DS had a blast with your GS! So much fun he fell asleep on the way home!!!!
Uggo corner!

The whole coop and they have to huddle in the corner

I think the white one on the left is a roo
Not so uggo corner!

uggggggggg-oh!

See you tomorrow

Dude, if I wasn't tired, I'd dig up one for ya tonight... or this morning, but, I'll have some at CS. If you're interested.

Hi y'all. I've been checking in, with not much to say. Beautiful gardens and sweet clean skunk.

What is the ziplock baggie with water trick for flies?

We've been working on the coop and making slow progress. I'm looking forward to moving day for the "kids." They're 7 weeks old now and the dust from the bedding is driving me crazy.

Kim, I want one of your showgirls!!!!!!!!

So the ever so cool BRahmer bought one of our coops yesterday. Aric is putting together plans for another one. Anyone lese? lol

Tractors?

Let me know. :)

Um, can Kayla be a character witness for me in my upcoming chicken trial?
Sure! I betcha she would be willing to stand in as your attorney...She would be up there telling the jury..."Look at him. He has a barcode, and he is slobbery. Just leave the poor guy alone, you weirdos!"
Im sure she wouldnt tell the jury how you tried to hand me a bee!!!!
they are not hardy to MI. but reseed well. they have a very small flower.Pink, I will try to find a few baby's and bring them to CS, I should have a pic some place, will see if I can down load it
sweet donkey, do you ride him?
sounds like you all had a good time, and I think your Uggos are sweet, look like little stuffed toys
That is beautiful, snowflake!
And thank you for being an Uggo advocate! They ARE sweet!
Nice to meet you!
I didnt notice you were out of sorts! I was so discombobulated and crabby when I first got there, my brain was full of recycled chicken poop air and too many kids and sticker-shock from 7-11...who spends fifty two dollars at seven-eleven? Oh, I do, apparently..lol..and HOT. Catching all the uggos in ninety degree air like fried my brain or something.
I wish you could have stayed longer- NEXT TIME! We will have to have another party at Randys in the fall when its not ninety and his bees have gone south for the winter or something...
Darn chicken math...........What kind of trouble you getting me into guys!
Well see, I have this counting disorder..its how I ended up with so many myself..and if Nigellas had taken her THREE, you wouldnt have gotten a spare..but as it was, I had a spare. Its an enhanced six, thats all...If either that really cool blue/black splashy fuzz one and that black silkie end up being a roo, you have to pair them up and see what they make because blue or splash Uggos would be like the ultimate coolness...

ha ha ha...I only kept one Uggo for myself...well actually, I DO have these NOTMEATIES...wonder what happens when you cross a NOTMEATIE with a Silkie or a Frizzle or an UGGO..hmmm.... The next generation of Uggos will have to come from either you or Silly..depending on who ends up with roos...before you eat em, you gotta breed em..
AND AND, in my defense...I only gave you TWO colors..
Mom2... DS had a blast with your GS! So much fun he fell asleep on the way home!!!!\

Oh my gs loves your son! He didnt fall asleep on the way home, but thats because he only lives about a mile from there...tired, grubby, and cranky- thats how I gave him back. Grandkids are a blast- we will have to let them play together again, definitely.
Uggo corner!

Told you! See how easy it is to have one more? They all sleep squished!

I think the white one on the left is a roo

what are you? A psychic sexer? What makes you think so? RIRJEN swears you gotta wait til they are around six months to tell..unless they crow? I have no idea...and I told them all they have to be girls..if not, tell your hubby you gotta hatch out the next generation before he eats them...

Kim, I want one of your showgirls!!!!!!!!
oh! awww...I just gave them all away except my one. Its Nigellas and BYFM and SillyChicken who hold the torch now for the next generation..gotta watch out for RIRJEN- she is bringing some to Chickenstock...

I have slept, and added coffee to my brain, so I can now think.
I forgot to tell everyone that BYFM gave me a baby fairy!!!
Its so precious, and its the size of one of RaZs bees...
I will take a picture, just havent yet!

I was so insane after catching chickens in the heat and counting kids ...( I only have three...why are there five in my truck?) that I completely forgot the ducklings for Randy. Left them on my kitchen table.

SO, Randy- now that my husband is home, he says we will have to get together with you..so, sometime this week, whatever works for all schedules, we will have to meet up again. So I can do a duck-transfer. Taprocks chicks will probably be quite happy with the exchange, silly ducklings splash the water everywhere!

After I got home, and dropped off children everywhere, I went out to my chicken yard to see how many escaped my capturing..

And all the chickens ran to hide behind bushes and haybales...peeking out at me..."OH NO! She is back!!! What is she doing back? HIDE~!!!"

Looks like I will be traveling to Lansing with just six spoken for chickens. Yard looks rather empty, considering they hid and my three hens are broody.
Now is a great chance to add wood chips and baggies full of water!
I wonder if I could just hang a water baggie off the NOTMEATIES? Seriously, nothing should be capable of pooping as much as they do!!!

THEN... as long as I avoid RIRJens' set up....I should be traveling back chicken-free...oh, gotta avoid Theron, as well....

My neighbors dog sure almost had chicken for lunch yesterday- it is amazing how high chickens can fly when they are trying to escape being caught. They kept trying to Kamikaze over the fence where the foxhound was waiting...praying...I think that it will be easier for CS, because it will still be dark when I load them up.

Pimento!

Are notmeatie roos even capable of Uggo reproduction? My Chimichanga doesnt seem capable of doing much more than walking....well, yesterday, he was capable of running for short distances. He was pretty convinced we were coming for him.

sweet donkey, do you ride him?

LOL, No, I don't ride him. He is a miniature, only 34 inches at his shoulder. Only a small child could ride him. I would like to train him to pull a cart though, like my miniature horse does. He would be so sharp in the black and red harness.
I forgot he was a miniature, would be sweet to see him pulling a cart hope you get a pic. once he is trained
they are soo kool!!!

Not so uggo corner!

I still think the little guy with the stripe down his head looks like he has eye's on the back of his head. could be a good defense to predators

there is nothing that stirs up the dust better then baby chicks. may be you can fix a fenced area for them during the day so they can at least be out for some of the day. it will be weeks before you are able to get it all out of the house

I have freedom rangers, and they are so fat they kind of slide off the hens back as she is skreeming and trying to get a way
