And Raz - Good to see you again too! Thanks for showing Jude your skunk - he was so excited to see him. I love your yard. :)
It was good to see you again. I think you were the first BYCer that I met in person. You were certainly the first to lend a helping hand when I needed it.

I'm happy that Jude liked the skunk. Everyone who showed up liked Sebastian. BFM even gave him a bath and showed me how to do it. And no one got sprayed...

And for what it's worth, my yard is always in flux. I don't think that it will ever be done, but I'm OK with that.

awwww he's adorable! how come you don't get his sprayer removed lol I know it can be done Sweet Pea at the park cant spray anyone anymore :D

sweet donkey, do you ride him?

LOL, No, I don't ride him. He is a miniature, only 34 inches at his shoulder. Only a small child could ride him. I would like to train him to pull a cart though, like my miniature horse does. He would be so sharp in the black and red harness.

Well, if he goes back to the wild, he will need that gland.
If I decide to keep him, then other considerations may be needed. However, I think that wild critters should be in the wild. It is going to depend on how his personality develops.

My fiance wants a pet skunk but I WILL NOT have a skunk with his "gland" still "intact" lol

Darn chicken math...........What kind of trouble you getting me into guys!

Raz, are we still on with the fish Monday? Call me if anything changes!

Nigellas, I dug up 3 hostas for you, they'll be plenty big to split if you want to... I'll be out around 2ish!

I am bushed... I set tiles in my parents shower walls all day today. It'll look nice when we're done, but it's been a tedious job.

You know, even with that gland removed they still smell like a skunk. I had a pet one for many years and he still smelled like a skunk. A friend of mine had one also and it still smelled like a skunk.
Hmmm I didn't know that!! Thank you! I didn't notice Sweet Pea stinking lol How come they spray anyways? Because they are scared?

Yes, they spray because they are scared and that is their way of defense. I have slowly walked up to many wild ones and without scaring them I have picked them up. When I used to milk cows, every morning there would be one right outside the parlor and I would go out and talk to it and pick it up. Then I would give it a treat that I would bring out in the parlor for it.
