Great photos! I showed them to my husband, he saw the AMAZING potluck in the background. He said he might be interested in coming next year... but then how will I be able to sneak chickens home???

Olive,

How did you manage to actually do that Master Chef purchase for that price? I've often thought I would like one of those, but found the price too much. This I can swing. Info appreciated.

Unfortunately, I think I might have bought the last one of the Master Chef model. I went back on after DH got home to try to show him the package I bought and they were gone. There is still 50% off any of the others though. You just choose the one you want, click add to cart and then when you go to checkout there will be a little box where you can type in that coupon code. There is an "apply" button next to that box, so once you type it in you would click "apply" and it will reduce the price by half for you.

That dang frizzle my son bought is trying to become a house chicken.

He totes that darn curly thing everywhere(he's 12...totally in chicken love). It sleeps in his lap, on the arm of the chair, on his desk chair in his room.

I guess I'd rather he be smitten with this type of chick than the human type at this point.

Glad you guys like them & I enjoyed taking them. I have to say though that Opa was a moving target. I had at least 5 pics of him and they all were blurry because he was always moving. Plus I was using my DH's camera.....not use to it and not as good as mine! lol

Also the funniest thing I heard yesterday & still is making me chuckle ( no offense to her or anyone related ) is about the gal in the last pic.....Someone's sister or sister-in-law, at a Chicken Stock Gathering with loads of chickens & chicken people and she tells me she is terrified of chickens. lol Guess it was a good move to over come her fear. She was even laughing at the fact that she came!

Thank you for thje speedy reply. I'll see if I can make use of the help and the deal. So nice of you to post the information.

I debated long and hard about going to the big shindig Saturday. Planned to. Drove in to Sam's Club and bought a new cooler, bottled water, soda pop, and some stuff to make pumpkin cheesecake pies that we really like. Got home and Jo was feeling awful bad. Her meds had been changed on Thursday. Two she had taken for years were cut and a new anti-depressant was substituted. Bry had arranged to get Saturday off work so he could be home with her in my planned absence, but I decided that since I was apprehensive about the long ( for me) drive, the six hour festivities and the drive back home, prudence decreed that I pass on chicken stock this time. The posts tell me you had a great time. I'm truly sorry to have missed it. M ybe (hopefully) next year will work out better for me.

HH,

I dug up a couple Highbush cranberries for you. I'll deliver them to you. Give me a date you can be home?

I can not believe this, my chickens are weird or spoiled. They WILL NOT eat lettuce. Spinach they gobble up. I have thrown out lettuce to them on several occasions, they inspect it, then turn their beaks up at it and then walk away.
