Raz excellent idea on getting together for a intro, hey maybe the ones that set up a booth can have a sign with their name/names maybe the breeds of animals on the signs etc. I will make them up if we want to do something like that. Of course you would have to know what kinds of breeds you have, unlike me I wasn't sure on two of my birds which was which, Golden Buff or Buff Orpington?
Years ago I was transferred to another state for work and there were a lot of displaced people thrown together for work. HR hosted a party and everyone who attended was given specific item to display on their person. Things like a paper clip, ribbon, barrette, Band-aid, etc. Each guest was given a sheet of paper and had to meet a person, ask their name, write it down and decide what item they were wearing. The only thing you could not do was ask specifically what that person was wearing. One guy was wearing a tie and had a barrette as a tie tack. Some people found the item and some didn't but they at least got his name.

The person who had the most names on their list won a prize. The person who had the most correct answers won a prize.

It was a lot of fun and broke the ice for many people. We could do something like this for next year.

First off, THAT was fun!!! So nice to meet everyone!

Second... Opa - the chicken was fantastic!! I would seriously love to sit and chat with granny all day!

Yes yes yes!!!!! *hiding my chicken in the refrigerator- way in the back so nobody else eats it...*
AND I LOVE GRANNY!!!!! She makes CS complete! Wouldnt be the same without her! My hubby had such a great time talking to her and to Sam, we cant let a whole year go by without getting together again.

Thirdly, thank you so much to everyone who took home one or two of my critters (esp the uggos! Muh whaha hahahah!) Thank you (I"m sorry, my memory is for crap!) to who ever took them...
I don't like to profile anyone, but, if someone tingles my spidey senses... then I'm not selling them anything! Ya'll know who I'm talking about, right?
Im so glad!!!! I was very worried that they would go to the most tingly person!

every ones pics are so sweet... , all that made it home are doing well,,,
I made the broccoli salad, it has been a favorite at our family gatherings for a long time. the original recipe calls for french onion rings but they get soggy so I quit putting them in. broccoli, sunflower seeds(I subbed slivered almonds) sweet onion bacon bits, slaw dressing of your choice. you can leave out or add any thing but the broccoli and dressing

That sounds like fun, but things went so fast I really wonder if we'll have time for that, too?

But that getting in a circle things and having an introduction.... we aren't going to have to sing kumbaya too are we?

I had a great time meeting everyone. Sorry I had to rush out - I was supposed to leave at one but ended up staying closer to three. I barely had time to get the new birds settled in before my grandparents came over for dinner. Oh well... they didn't seem to mind that I smelled vaguely of poultry. Came home with three chickens (it just sort of happened - I was only going to get one! I swear!) Thankfully, hubby has only noticed two. The silkies kinda stand out. it was nice to be among people who can truly appreciate the ridiculousness of my purse. Here's a picture of it with Buttercup, my buff orpington hen - she does NOT approve of it and generally won't go anywhere near it.

I love your purse! Did you make it?

Silly, my dad asked me to thank you for the hostas. And raz, your calico beans were his favorite. He lives in Lansing and I was glad he came again this year, he is not a chicken keeper himself but loves a good party.

I now know for sure that I dont want ducks. The three little calls that I brought home from Theron for my friend Pat have already trashed the brooder. She is coming today to pick them up, thank goodness! They are cute though.
