Good morning Mi! I am still here, just been busy, took forever to catch up and then could not post any replies. Had to download Firefox so I could reply and send pm's.
I hope y'all have a great day!

Good morning!!!

Welcome back busybodies!!!

No I am not getting the Hot Couple Looking For Fun BBQs
I don't make hotdogs enough and the marshmellows would just get stuck all over it
...but I want them!...

I did have a conversation with Juise. She's well. Been too busy with summer things and other activities that require her attention. She does get on, but just a quick catch. She'll be around when things settle back down.

Belle looks like she's going to be my next casualty. I noticed her off last night, but no pasty butt, no swollen eyes, breathing sounded fine. I figured maybe egg bound. I found her this morning, off the roost, under a table. I think she fell off and broke herself. They roost on a cabinet that's about 6 feet tall. So upsetting...

I checked out the reviews but IQ doesn't seem to be quite there for me. My current Panny with the Leica lens has served me well and takes beautiful shots so I am leaning toward another anyway, plus I understand the menu system. Plus the increase in mp when sensor size doesn't increase also is a downside for me. Panasonic has a couple others coming out that are "similar yet cheaper than the FZ200 but they went and raised the mp to 16 on one of them figuring I guess people who want to spend less money think more mp is better. I just want to whack someone in their design dept upside their head!

I played with my sister's Canon at Xmas, she had a model I had been considering in another P&S and I didn't like it which surprised me.

Sure wish there was a camera shop in Alpena to check things out but other than Wal and K mart which have next to nothing it's probably a 90 minute drive minimum to look at any variety.
Seriously, I HIGHLY recommend what I had before my DSLR. The Fuji Finepix S28HD. I sold mine to my niece's fiance who owns a very popular tattoo shop in Lansing. I bought it for $300 and sold it to him for $200. You can't add lenses to it but you can add some cool filters which I had too. There are of course better ones now but that one was awesome. It had a much better zoom than my DSLR. It had 14mp with 18x optical zoom. It does a lot of the same stuff my DSLR does so I kinda had it easy when I bought my Nikon. It takes absolutely fabulous photos and it has the look of a DSLR too! Just a suggestion.

If you're looking to buy a better camera but you don't know how to pull it off, well if you have good/decent credit, try the bill me later program on ebay. You don't have to make a payment for 6 months and then you can make minimum payments. You can also buy rebuilt cameras like I did with my last Fuji (I've had 3 I liked them that much!) from somewhere like Ritz Camera which is at least 20% cheaper than buying one anywhere else...and they accept bill me later!

Most photographers aren't brand loyal because one is actually far superior to another, but because the arsenal of lenses costs far more than the camera body itself so once you get going it would be ludicrous to switch brands without a real big reason.

For purchasing I recommend B&H. Great prices, fantastic service, fast shipping.

For those without a nearby camera shop you can always rent both camera bodies and lenses you're considering before making a decision.
