tell her that i am so happy for her. Hannah is home and said that she thinks that is the cutest dog.

the Chihuahua expert would be Frizzledhen. she has some that are rescue/rehab dogs. she knows tons.

congrats again on the new dog!

Oh my gosh if she isn't the cutest little dog in the world! We lost our Boston Terrier to cancer a few months ago and both my kids really want another small dog. We all love the long haired chihuahua. Seeing Raigan and Clarabelle just makes it that much harder to resist!

Rose, I know we don't know each other yet, but I was sorry to hear of your loss. We've only had our "flock" for a little over 6 weeks, but already we are quite attached to several of the birds, most notably the two that the kids are "training" to do tricks. I'd be very sad if something happened to one of them too. Kathy

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts. Loosing a pet just sux.
Derek, keep Clarabelle away from your other two dogs... she'll be a snack for them!

Your two kids are just adorable.
I just got a Papillion. He's just 7 lbs. Our first small dog too. We sure are enjoying the new experience of having a lap dog!

Thanks for your kidnd words. People just tell you they are just chickens, but I don't have a huge flock and I don't breed to sell, so, yes, I do become very attached to my chickens, they are my pets. It's hard to loose them. Feel silly to cry over a "chicken", but she was my sweet pea.

Not to say the folks that breed chickens don't feel sad when one of their babies die.

For those of Michiganders that have ducks, I'm going to be building the duck house, and if you have any suggestions and pics,

and is there any difference between building a chicken coop and duck coop.

the only difference in mine is that i bed them with straw, not shavings, no roost (unless you are going to do Muscovies, they will roost sometimes).

i also do not keep their food or water inside the coop so the mess stays outside.

Sheelyb,
Your son is the first person I have heard use that word besides myself. I used to run a kitchen, well several through the years and while training cooks they would show me their dishes and that was one of my favorites to use.. beautimus...just beautimus!
or gorgeomous was another.
here are the new babies! just came home this morning. Good thing I slapped that brooder together yesterday. 4 buff O's and 2 Isa browns.
ok adjustments made, here we go again...

My son is always inventing new words. I should start writing them down in his keepsake book...'cause it won't be long til I don't hear that sweet little jibberish anymore.
