Speaking of birds for sale, I ordered some buff laced sebrights, paid the insurance so I wouldn't get packing peanurts and somehow they sent me 10 barred rocks along with sebrights.

So, I have 10 barred rock chicks, st. run, just arrived yesterday. I am between Lansing and Jackson, but might be able to meet someone if I am headed their way. I am asking $20 for the bunch.

your in box is full lol I am asking the hubby about the chicks....how long before you can tell if they are roosters? I can't have them in the city.....also...if someone didnt want all ten chicks will you break them up?

Anyone intersted in Frizzledhens chickens need to know THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL! (I have purchased 3 different pullets from her.) They are very well cared for and so healthy!

where on cavanaugh? lol Im near the corner of cavanaugh and lowcroft......I dream however of moving to the country and being completely self sufficient. Solar and wind power....grow own food and animals....etc

I've been helping an eighty five year old friend move into a condo. We've been at it for over a month. Just completed the yard sale from hell. Man did she have the stuff to get rid of. She gave me a couple of wooden egg crates. They're wood slats held together with metal rod. The larger one was for carrying 12 dozen eggs and the smaller for 6 dozen. The small one has all of the cardboard egg holders and dividers and you can still read the manufacturer's name. Humpty Dumpty Owosso Michigan. Have any of you seen these?

I grew up in the bustling metropolis of Pewamo. I miss it terribly. I couldnt wait to get out when i was young....and now I would give anything to get back there. I despise city life.

Humpty Dumpty egg crates were made by the Owosso Mfg. Co. in Owosso up until about 1950. It was one of their signature products in addition to all wood snow shovels.
Humpty Dumpty was the name of the egg carriers and not an egg brand name. They were used to transport eggs from farm to market.
